It has been some time since I last properly played OSRS and it has been even longer since I have revisited this thread. It seems in my absence my account was compromised but I have now taken steps to secure it and I have managed to regain my wealth and items which had been lost.
For now I have turned my attention to mining. I don’t know if I will stick with this and run straight through until level 99 or if I shall take breaks by turning to other skills. I know that mining is a rather long skill with a fair degree of grinding involved.
I remember back on RS3 I powermined granite until level 77 then entered the living rock caverns. Back then in the early 2010’s it was a huge botfest, just a swarm of people. I am glad in a way that it doesn’t exist in OSRS, but it does leave the question of how shall I train.
I cannot say that the thought of power mining granite until level 99 pleases me. I have been using the motherlode mine for a little while now and i have gained full prospector gear as well as access to the upper floor. The xp rate isn’t brilliant but it is semi-afk which appeals to me. I am soon approach level 77 mining and I hope to make a head start on 78 before the end of today.
