Another big one coming up, quest progress has been really nice and much have been made. Alot of time has been spent skilling for 83 crafting which is a required level as ironmen for the light within to reach boosting range with stews for crystal flasks.

On the note of skills, there's two skills i have yet to train to quest levels and those are 85 strenght and 82 smithing, those will be adressed after sliskes endgame has been done.

Quests

Onto the completed quests

Done - The light withing
This quest was wonderful! Learning more about Seren was absolutely great but also learning more about the elves was really nice. The elves alongside the maharajjat probably have my two favorite lores so far in Runescape with vampires a close third.

I used a guide for some steps as it was really late when i did it and i was struggling with coming up with what the clues meant.

Done- Children of Mah
Another amazing quest but stressful at the same time, i'm not the best at pvm and the light part had me stressed at times. But yet another amazing quest in the lore section, and freneskae is an amazing locale in the world of runescape. I really like what the team did with that.

Xp was put into herblore as usual

Done - Kindred spirits
This quest was really nice because it gave some insight into the motivations and ideas of Sliske, not sure what i think about the character but he certainly is enjoyable to say the least.

The quest also had some really nice lore once again.

Started - Nomads Elegy
This quest broke me the first time around, i keep splashing at the fight and now looking to make preparations to be able to take it on.

Comments

The quests i have left are most likely going to be the most challenging in the quest log, but i will conquer them and claim that quest cape!

Quest point total: 391/406

Alright, been a few busy weeks with some intense prayer training and moneygrinding, the reason for that is because of sliskes endgame.

But first an stats update

The stats come from a few sources, been doing a fair bit of ED3/1 tokenfarming for money, the reason is that i need 92 prayer for sliskes endgame to see if i can get it done.

Magic has indeed been maxed, and that xp comes from mentioned gold and tokenfarming. Also been working on a multitude of other skills.

Achievments

-500 vyre corpses burnt-
-All words in needle skips-

Quests

Onto the quests

Nomad's requiem

After some skilling and preparation i got it done at last, phase 1-3 were fairly tough but phase 4 i just kited him. Very enjoyable quest and i loved the story of it.

Sliske's endgame

Loving this quest, but i am stuck at phase 2 of the final fight, i am currently doing alot of prayer and herblore to get the rescources i need to attempt this fight again.

Gower's quest

A very fun and lighthearted throwback quest to days past, loved the casual giant in the playground setting with the bar.

Brink of extinction

This quest got me invested and interested, i quite like the tzhaar quests but this one really nicely delves into some of the lore further. The fights were also challenging enough.

Birthright of the dwarves

Enjoyable quest but again dissapointed in jagex for one reason, not the quest itself, but the fact that Arposandra gets mentioned in it and then the gnome quests are more or less tossed away.

But aside from that i really liked this quest as a final of the red axe questline.

Needle skips

This quest was amazing, no combat just story and i loved it.

Skilling goals

Herblore 92/94
So another skilling event rolls around, quite a few of them this time. This event i'm gonna get herblore to 92 or 94. That way i can boost ovls using the godbanner.

I will admit it feels a little bit on the easy side to get essentially free herblore xp, but i'll at the same time admit that herblore is one of the harder skills as a whole.

Prayer 92
Soulsplit is looming on the horizon, and that opens up alot of content, as mentioned sliskes endgame is the endgoal for this grind, but once i have the QP cape done i'll be starting to work on all of the lorebooks also for mqc.

For that soulsplit will be a massive boon.

Crafting 89
Simple answer, unboosted making of crystal and standard flasks.

Let's talk about the life after Qp cape

So i'm still 1-2 weeks away from the QP cape at this point, but i feel like it's a nice time to start thinking about what will happen next.

The MQC progress will be a long and ardous one where multiple 90's will need to be obtained, and lots of ports skills will need to be developed, this will be one of the longer and more demanding skilling processes of the journey, but i look forward to it.

But once i have the QP cape i'll be looking into doing pvm on a larger scale, not only for the mentioned logbooks needed, but also gear.

There's still quite alot of miniquests that's still on the list however, the arc miniquests and some smaller ones.

Then there's the big one, dungeoneering logs, this is gonna be one massive one to achiev as the highest log requires almost 120 dg.

So even if the quest cape journey is nearing it's end there's still much to see ahead.

But between that, sliske still stands.

At last it is done

Sliskes endgame

I started this quest 3 weeks ago thinking, so i know this quest is considered extremely difficult, but i had beaten nomad etc so i didn't really think this could be that much worse.

Boy how wrong i was on so many levels. This quest has taken me three weeks of preparation to beat, greatly sped up by the event getting
94 herblore
for overload boosting with banner. And unlocking soulsplit with cleansing stones.
But i was still not prepared for the challenge to come, upon initially unlocking the fight i tried phase two twice and quickly realized, this is way beyond my ability.
Going back i had soulsplit, holy overloads , saradomin flasks and good food. I'll break down each attempt in short.

Attempts phase 2

Attempt 1: Nomad down , Gregorovic 150k left
Attempt 2: Nomad down , Gregorovic 94k left
Attempt 3: Nomad down , Gregorovic 20k left
Attempt 4: Nomad down , Gregorovic down, Linza 140k left
Attempt 5: Nomad down , Gregorovic down, Linza 120k left. had decent food at this point but died to reflect damage
Attempt 6: Nomad down , Gregorovic 20k left, wasn't stocked up on saradomin flasks
Attempt 7: Nomad down , Gregorovic 20k left, wasn't stocked up on saradomin flasks
Attempt 8: Nomad down , Gregorovic down and Linza down

Attempts phase 3

Attempt 1: Died phase 1, had no food/flasks
Attempt 2: Died phase 3 transition, Didn't see where to start phase 4
Attempt 3: Died phase 2, wasn't prepared
Attempt 4: Sliske bites the dust

At last, it is done. A three month journey is at it's end, it's had ups, downs, challenges and many rewards.

The last two quests i did was the following
Curse of the black stone

This quest was fun, did all the elite dungeons on storymode , Seriyu gave me the biggest issues combatwise, but it was really enjoyable.

I loved this quest, and that it was fairly straight to the point.

Desperate times

More puzzles like this please Jagex, i loved the mechanics , lore dumps and whatnot that this gave. A thouroughly enjoyable quest.

Thoughts

This has been a journey of many challenges, frustrations, laughters and joys. For me getting the Quest cape as my first real cape, magic was handed to me via ED3 farming has been an amazing experience to go through.

Between the many grinds, collecting of stuff and events the quest cape has been on my mind at all times. Alot of quests has been great, some some have been real dissapointments.

I'll make a top 5 of favourite and least favourite, in no particular order

Top 5
One of a kind - the lore, all the good lore
Fate of the gods - Looooore!
Plagues end - A really good finale of a really enjoyable questline
Lord of Vampyrium - I would put River of blood here, but i felt lord of Vampyrium was the better of the two.
Sliske's endgame - A mixed bag of emotions, but extremely enjoyable.

Bottom 5
Legends quest - I hate the jungle part with a passion
Tai bwo wanna trio - This quest drags on way to long
One small favour - I don't really want to put it here, but it drags on
Salt in the wound - Just a horrible finale of an otherwise intriguing questline
Garden of tranquility - The queen is horrible

Life after

I will now be planning MQC and start doing some bossing.

Big thank you to all of you who has shown support.
