Dear Diary,

Early this morning, I advanced the Hero Pass to level 11 while performing Necromancy rituals.

I was awarded another hero satchel, which contained 2 tiny protean packs, 2 Alchemist's keys, and a Gift for the Reaper. As with the first satchel, I opened the tiny protean packs to receive 20 protean logs. I banked the logs and the keys. I dropped the useless, unbankable "gift".

One of the special missions on the Hero Pass is to complete 100 Necromancy rituals. This morning, I conducted 12 Lesser Communion rituals to that end.

Dear Diary,

This afternoon, I attempted to speak with Peter at three separate locations:

Southeast of the Lumbridge lodestone
East of the Burthorpe lodestone
Northwest of the southern entrance to the G.E.

At every location, Peter was wearing a different seasonal outfit. Each time I tried to talk with Peter, he simply gave me a free TH key (only good for the current Gifts from the Harvest promo), then he teleported away.

I used the first free key Peter handed me to win some protean bars. I banked these. This key also unlocked a bonus. I chose the x5 multiplier. Thanks to this bonus, my second key awarded me 5 huge prismatic lamps, which I accepted. The third key gave me 5 small BXP stars, which I converted to 125 oddments.

I rubbed huge lamp #1 to gain Prayer XP.
I rubbed huge lamp #2 to reach 85 Attack and combat level 108.
I rubbed huge lamp #3 to reach 85 Constitution.
I rubbed huge lamp #4 to reach 85 Defence.
I rubbed huge lamp #5 to reach 85 Strength and combat level 109.

I also advanced the Hero Pass to level 12 while chopping my third inventory of yew logs.

I was awarded nothing.

Dear Diary,

As of today, changes were made to the Hero Pass, in an attempt to calm the overwhelming rage expressed by the community regarding last week's replacement of the Daily Challenges with the unpopular Hero Pass

As part of today's batch of fixes, skill buffs were removed from the rewards on offer. Therefore, my useless 60 Fort artisan charges were replaced with 100 Underworld Emblems, so now I possess 200 of these emblems.

Dear Diary,

I have advanced the Hero Pass to level 13.

I received another 100 Underworld Emblems. I now have 300 emblems.

I also unlocked a +2% Gathering XP buff. This would have given me an XP boost in skills such as Fishing, Mining, and Woodcutting - if Jagex had not disabled these skill buffs in Hero Pass.

Dear Diary,

I have now advanced the Hero Pass to level 14.

I received nothing.

I have made more progress with the special mission to conduct 100 Necromancy rituals. I have now completed 50 rituals towards this goal, so I am halfway there.

I also managed to unlock the Command Skeleton Warrior ability at the Well of Souls. Not only has this ability been fixed so that free players can unlock it, this only cost me one Talent Point, not the previously listed two Talent Points.

Dear Diary,

Tonight I advanced the Hero Pass to level 16 while performing Necromancy rituals.

I unlocked 'the Spirit Caller' title.

I am now 80% done with the special mission to perform 100 rituals, having completed 80 Lesser Communion rituals.

Thank you Sal VJ. What a lovely compliment.

Yeah, that is how I have always viewed games. They are supposed to be fun.

The way some players grind their way to the end as fast as possible, as though it is their job, is something I do not relate to. The way I see it, if your game feels like a chore, you are doing it wrong. You have to play for fun. Otherwise, you will burn yourself out eventually.
