Dear Diary,

Sun killed that level 8 super cow. It took her five attacks to bring down the beast.

For winning her seventh fight, Sun advanced to level 10. I was awarded a medium prismatic lamp, a large prismatic star, and 100 springs. I used the lamp to gain Magic XP, and the star to gain Firemaking BXP. In addition, I was given a milestone level reward of two life refreshes for helping Sun to attain the level 10 milestone.

Sun's next opponent will be yet another level 4 imp. She should easily win this contest.

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

This afternoon, I completed Daily Challenges in Dungeoneering, Runecrafting, and Combat.

I used a challenge token to skip the Dungeoneering task. Next, I crafted 136 water runes from 27 rune essence at the Water Altar. Then I teleported to Edgeville. I entered Edgeville Dungeon, where I killed 16 poison spiders and gathered 10 sets of bones.

Redeeming these challenges got me 77 Runecrafting.

I can now craft eight air runes per essence.

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

Late last night, I teleported to the lodestone out in The Wilderness and headed east.

I explored the cemetary north of the mysterious obelisk I discovered previously. I was uickly attacked by aggressive level 22 zombies. These posed no serious threat to me, even though more than one zombie could fight me at the same time. There were planks on the ground, and I picked up four of them. I also looted a few air runes, a couple of herbs, and some fishing bait from the zombies.

I vanquished two dozen zombies before I headed south to bank with Simon, who was wandering just south of the Chaos Altar. I had buried four sets of bones during my battle with the zombies, but I still had twenty sets of bones in my full pack.

After I banked everything, I entered the Chaos Altar chamber. As I gathered an additional 25 sets of bones, I began to feel quite odd. It was as though I was moving in slow-motion. After one full rotation around the room, this strange lagging sensation disappeared. However, the familiar feeling I was being watched remained. I ran outside, banked with Simon, then returned to the chamber. This time, the sensation I was being watched was stronger than ever. I collected another 25 bones, banked them, and went back inside the chamber.

At this point, I thoroughly investigated the Chaos Altar itself. Aside from having the ability to renew Prayer points, just like any other altar, there seemed to be nothing noteworthy about this shrine to Zamorak. I stood up - and I saw I was not alone.

In the doorway of the chamber stood a large figure wearing a hooded purple robe. This appeared to be the same creature I caught a glimpse of previously. My sudden emergence from behind the Chaos Altar seemed to catch the figure off guard. I asked, "Who are you?" but I received no answer. Instead, a cloud of dark smoke appeared behind the hooded figure, who stepped back into the smoke and vanished.

Well, that was...new.

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

The Academy of Heroes will close its' doors again later today.

As expected, Sun defeated that level 4 imp. It took her four attacks to beat it.

For winning her eighth fight, Sun advanced to level 11. I was awarded 5 combat training dummies, a medium prismatic lamp, and a medium prismatic star, in addition to the medium prismatic lamp I received as my daily prize. I used the lamps to gain Ranged and Magic XP, and the star to gain Firemaking BXP.

Sun's next opponent would have been a level 15 warped bat. That would have been a fun fight. Perhaps it will come to pass when the Academy reopens, as I expect it will this summer, and if Sun returns once again to pick up her training where she left off.

Sun and I exchanged farewells as she once again departed. Before she left, she told me she intends to review the notes she has made while under my guidance, saying that when you have a clear understanding of your past, your path forward to your future also becomes clearer. Given what I have recently experienced on Ashdale and in The Wilderness, these wise words from my young student resonate with me more than Sun realizes.

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

This morning, I completed Daily Challenges in Crafting, Fishing, and Prayer.

After I used a challenge token to skip the Crafting task, as I did not feel like making equipment, I caught 14 crayfish behind the Lumbridge church. Then I chopped a yew log before I teleported to Varrock. I headed north to complete my third Daily Challenge in The Wilderness.

Once I had crossed over into The Wild, I made my way to the Chaos Altar chamber. I gathered 25 sets of bones within the chamber, then I used the yew log to start a fire just north of the altar. I cremated all 25 sets of remains in these flames, which more than satisfied the requirements of my Daily Prayer Challenge.

I collected 50 additional sets of bones in and around the chamber. I gave these bones to Simon, who kindly deposited them in my bank. I then teleported back to Lumbridge.

I did not see the large hooded figure near the Chaos Altar on this trip. There has been no trace of this creature since I appeared to have startled it during my last encounter with it two weeks ago. Have I scared this figure away, and what was its' interest in me? Maybe it was not me, but the altar which drew the creature's attention. Perhaps I will learn more, should the hooded figure return.

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

This afternoon, I completed Daily Challenges in Crafting, Fletching, and Thieving.

After I used a challenge token to skip the Crafting task, as I did not feel like making urns, I fashioned 200 mithril arrows. Then I successfully pickpocketed a man six times as he wandered around Lumbridge Market. I was unsuccessful five times, which prompted him to punch me. Once I was done with him, I used Arteria to split the fool in half. He dropped 2 chaos runes and a chargebow.

I redeemed these Daily Challenges to reach 83 Fletching.

Love,
Kat

Dear Diary,

Once again, DXP Live has come to Gielinor.

This afternoon, I completed Daily Challenges in Prayer, Fishing, and Mining.

After I claimed my free daily rewards in Varrock, I took 90 protean logs from my bank and hopped to World 3. As I expected, the Grand Exchange was extremely crowded, with many combat dummies and portables deployed. Also, advanced pulse cores and cinder cores kept firing off all over the place. I burned all these protean logs using a portable brazier.

When I had 36 protean logs left in my inventory, I reached 97 Firemaking.

Love,
Kat
