Nice progress! Sounds the beach is treating you well also!
Thank you, Jamandy52.
The Beach is fine, so long as you stay on the northern half. Venturing south of Clawdia almost always causes the game to utterly freeze.
I've been putting out fire with gasoline!
This evening I completed Daily Challenges in Fishing, Cooking, and Woodcutting.
I caught 20 crayfish behind the Lumbridge church. I brought these to the yews west of Lumbridge Market. I chopped one yew log, used it to start a fire, and cooked all 20 crayfish over the fire. Then I chopped 9 more yew logs.
I redeemed these challenges to reach 68 Cooking and 73 Woodcutting.

Kat

This afternoon I brought five summer piñatas to the Grand Exchange and attacked them in order to claim five loot bags. Before I opened the bags, I took my Ring of Luck out of the bank and put it on. Although others were there at the G.E. nobody joined in on attacking the piñatas.
I have still found none of this year's beach tokens.
I used the first bright lamp to gain enough Magic XP to be 925 XP short of the next level.
I used the second bright lamp to reach 70 Ranged.
I opened the token boxes and banked the rest of my loot before I teleported to Al Kharid. I headed north and mined a full inventory of gold ores. Back at Al Kharid, I smelted these ores into gold bars, then crafted the bars into 28 gold amulets. Casting Low-Alchemy on these amulets got me to 57 XP from the next Magic level - and I still had 2 of my 30 daily Low-Alchemy charges granted by my Explorer's Ring 2 left.
I returned to mine 2 more gold ores before I entered the hidden mine inside the resource dungeon, where I mined the precious gem rocks. I found 26 uncut gems (18 emeralds, 5 rubies, and 3 diamonds). I cut the gems and teleported to Lumbridge.
I smelted the 2 gold ores and crafted 2 more gold amulets. I moved to the Lumbridge Market bank chest and banked the 26 cut gems. Then I low-alched the 2 gold amulets to gain 62 XP, which was 5 XP more than I needed to reach 70 Magic.
Attaining level 70 in these two combat skills increased my RuneScore to 1,585.

Kat

I really hope you get some sweet beach tokens!

Thank you, Jamandy52. Either I will or I will not. I'll be fine either way.
I ended up with all the tokens from last year's Beach event (my first), except for the Beach Towel outfit. The tokens were fairly easy to obtain just through skilling.
In stark contrast, this year's tokens seem to be nearly impossible to get, unless you want to throw some RuneCoins Flo's way. Now that the pre-paid cards provide much fewer RC than they used to, I find myself being more particular in regards to what I spend them on. I won't be wasting RC on every pile of pixels Jagex pushes.
Given how badly the south end of The Beach is bugged, I would not be surprised if this has discouraged RC sales of this year's tokens.

This afternoon I completed Daily Challenges in Firemaking, Cooking, and Smithing.
I used 10 yew logs to build a bonfire east of the Lumbridge Market bank chest. I then cooked 10 raw crayfish over the fire. Then I smithed 150 adamant arrowheads on the nearby anvil.
As I burned the fourth yew log, I managed to reach 86 Firemaking.

This evening I met a novice adventurer named Meryem through the new Academy of Heroes Treasure Hunter promotion. Under my instruction, Meryem killed a pesky imp. Later tonight, we defeated an imp and a super cow. Our next target will be a crassian scout. Meryem has advanced from level 3 to level 6.
I found some items dropped by the monsters, which I converted to oddments. I was awarded a deathtouched dart for getting my pupil to level 5. I also collected an assortment of XP lamps: 3 huge prismatic lamps, 2 large prismatic lamps, 3 medium prismatic lamps, and a small prismatic lamp.
I used the small prismatic lamp to reach 68 Runecrafting.
I used the medium prismatic lamps to gain Fishing, Prayer, and Ranged XP.
I used both of the large prismatic lamps to get 76 Constitution and combat level 96.
I used the huge prismatic lamps to get 76 Attack, Defence, and Strength.

Kat
