Wow, no posts in almost a month.

Anyway 2 new quests were revealed at Runefest:

Needle Skips: A Murder Mystery style quest based around the game Her Story, which will involve typing key words into a search bar to view certain events, as well as teleporting between 3 time periods.

Violet is Blue: A sequel to Myths of the White Lands and the Christmas Holiday Quest, which will become permanent after Christmas ends. It involves helping 2 yeti's make their adopted human daughter have the best day out to Yeti Town ever, and will involve lots of puzzle solving.

Last year when only 2 quests were announced, I was p***ed off. Now I'm going "That's great, we're actually getting more quests this year!" which is terrible. Provided there's no delay's that will make 4 quests this year, the lowest amount ever. Here's hoping with M&S Rework, Elite Dungeons and Mobile out of the way (hopefully) 2019 will feature a fair few more quests.

I know! The forums sadly aren't as busy as they use to be. But regardless, I started a new job at work last month so its been a bit hard for me to find the time to get here!

Anyways... After seeing the Halloween event this year... I'm starting to realize that things are not going to change with Jagex. Most content now a days is TH or 'events' meant to get us to log in daily and nothing much more meaningful than that.

Needle Skips sounds interesting, but I feel Jagex has already done the whole Murder Mystery 'thing'. The stule of it may be different, but I just feel that kind of quest had already been done. But the short trailer they released does make it seem interesting.

So that is everyone's thoughts on Player Owned Farms?

I personally like it, but I'm waiting for the prices of dragon eggs to settle down a bit so I can start making some real beans. :P

I'm a big fan of the concept but not of the execution. I know a lot of people complained that they didn't want a dailyscape farming activity but instead we get animals pooping every 10 minutes making themselves unhappy, plus this update kills bankspace. I was okay with it in the beginning but I spent the start of the update hunting Crimson skillchompa's for hours, and didn't get an animal (but got 2 hunter levels). Honestly I was hoping for something like Ports, something more casual.

I completely agree Magejake. The ports model is much more enjoyable, I've kinda fell off going to my farm as of late. I'd have to say the pooping is the biggest annoyance of the whole update as well.

From my understanding, Needle Skips will be next month since December will be Christmas?

I'm becoming a bit more excited about this quest. I was initially comparing it to the old Murder Mystery quest but after replying it in OSRS the other day, I'm a bit more excited to see what this new one will offer. The old quest is... well, old. So the fact that this will be around an elder artifact excites me.

Whats everyone else excited for?

(I know there isn't much now a days, but worth a try to ask!) ;)

Is anyone here playing any OSRS?

This morning I completed the OSRS Halloween quest - The Chamber of Eric.

It was a cute little 'one small favour' type event that brought back a lot of memories of the events back in the day. I'm probably going to do both RS3 & OSRS events now. While I still do prefer RS3, its nice to see new content that is similar to what we all remember Runescape being like when we were younger.

I appreciate the creativity and work that went into this quest, but it missed the mark a bit for me.

The puzzle was interesting, but it shouldn't of been the whole quest. The quest to be more of a dialogue run through than anything else. The voice acting, atmosphere and visuals were simply outstanding. However, it could of been much more to me than what it turned out to be.

After such a long wait, I am just left with a bit of disappointment.

I wasn't a big fan of the quest, though I did manage to unlock all memories without a walkthrough. However unlocking all words required a walkthrough. I mean it is nice to have a quest after waiting 7 MONTHS (which I think is a new record).

I do object to some of the words such as having lie, lies AND liars. Also Evil, Necessary AND Necessary Evil. And Lizardman, they're called Illujan*a or Dragon Riders, I don't understand how you could get that.

I completely agree with you Magejake. I too was able to do all the memories without a walkthrough , but needed it for all the words. Even then, I had to go back a few times because I missed one or two when I did a completionest run*****;_<

I think 7 months is definitely a record. I've been running this thread since 2009 and its never been that long since I started this.

At least we have the Christmas quest next month... I just hope it's a good one.

You were super lucky, if I didn't see your request this would have been completely obliterated in the next few days! This would have been completely irreversible, but your message saved it just in the nick of time!

Also have some glue. :)
