Zodi-Yak Track update:

Monday night I finished task #20, a Prayer challenge, by burying 1,500 sets of big bones. Good Guthix that was tedious! Many of these bones I bought pretty cheaply from the Grand Exchange. I encouraged hill giants to donate the rest of the big bones to me. Hehe.

Completing this task got me 75 protean hides as well as the Dioscuri Sentinel pet. I added this one to my list of pets halfway down page 11 of this thread. I now have 40 pets! For someone who believes RuneScape has too damned many pets, I sure have accumulated quite a collection of these creatures.

I have started task #21, to smith 55 adamant or rune items. So far I've made 12 sets of rune arrowheads. Task #22 involves either Woodcutting or Prayer. I had hoped to avoid Firemaking/Woodcutting tasks...but Prayer again? Ugh. Maybe I'll use a skip token. I'd prefer to save the skips for later, though. It's not like these tasks are getting easier, after all. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

Zodi-Yak Track/Easter update:

Well, this afternoon I saved Easter! I brought 10,000 Easter eggs to the Easter Bunny and bought all three items in his shop, including the Sheldon pet - my 41st pet! The Easter Bunny thanked me for saving Easter by awarding me the Hard-Boiled title.

I also finished Yak Track task #22 by burying the rest of those 1,500 sets of big bones, and went on to complete task #23 by smithing 60 sets of rune arrowheads (a total of 4,500 of them). For task #24, I'll be returning to the RuneSpan.

I went back and handed 2,000 Easter eggs to the master thief and her wife in exchange for two large loot bags. I got three BXP stars, two boxes of Dungeoneering tokens, and a medium XP lamp, which I used to gain over 11,000 XP in Fishing. I was then exactly 140 XP away from leveling! I sailed to Karamja to harpoon fish. One swordfish would do the trick. Instead, I caught a tuna. Then I caught a second tuna - and reached Fishing level 90!

After catching two inventories of raw swordfish and tuna, I picked 26 bananas and teleported to Al Kharid. After banking, I took a full backpack of raw tuna to the range north of the bank. I was halfway through cooking these tuna when I reached Cooking level 90!

My Total Level is 1544. My RuneScore is now 2260.

Gaining these two levels today means I now have 8 of the 17 F2P skills in the 90s. The remaining 9 skills are all in the low to mid 80s. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

After a LOT of fishing from the dock on Karamja, I finally finished task #25, to fish 560 swordfish! In sharp contrast, I spent about a minute completing task #26, which involved finding and speaking with the sick yak hiding in Draynor. How the Falador did he get up there anyway? Maybe Aggie can cure him.

Task #27 is to either fletch 2,250 bows or craft 1,930 body/fire runes. Task #28 will be between fletching or smelting. No doubt those numbers will be ridiculously punishing as well.

While fishing for hours, I collected more Easter eggs. After returning from Karamja to bank in Lumbridge, then finding the yak in Draynor, I visited Caelyn and gave her an additional 5,400 eggs. Her lousy loot bags included a large and huge XP lamp (both of which are useless trash in F2P) but I did get a small lamp and two medium lamps, all of which I used on Mining. I also got a couple more Dungeoneering token boxes, some cash bags, and a bunch of failing stars. In addition to the 10,000 eggs I gave to the Easter Bunny and the 10,000 eggs I gave to Caelyn, I ended up giving her another 9,400 eggs. I have 211 eggs left over in my currency pouch. I earned all available rewards from the event, including Caelyn's spare hat. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

Late Sunday night, after coming close to finishing Zodi-Yak Track task #28 (2,163/2,320 rune bars smelted), I took a break from smelting at the Artisans' Workshop to teleport to Lumbridge, where I used up all my daily Low-Alchemy and High-Alchemy spells granted by the Explorer's ring 4. This got me to exactly 5 XP away from the next Magic level! However, I wasn't quite done with the ring just yet. I teleported to Al Kharid, and ran north to the desert mine. There I mined a full inventory of gold ore, killed a few scorps for fun, and used the Explorer's ring 4 to superheat 27 gold ores into bars. The first of these spells was more than enough to get me to Magic level 86! Then I teleported back to Al Kharid, smelted the one remaining ore into a gold bar, and crafted 28 gold amulets, which I placed in my bank to be alched another day.

My Total Level is 1545.

While in Al Kharid, I smelted another 40 or so rune bars. However, Linza was being annoying, so I teleported back to Lumbridge, where I smelted the final 120 or so rune bars to complete task #28. I now have 7912 rune bars in my metal bank, along with 2400 luminite and 2400 runite ores. I'll be adding to those ore totals while working on task #29, for which I'll have to mine 730 luminite/runite ores. This will take three trips to the Mining Guild. No problemo.

Looking ahead to task #30, I'll get to choose between Dungeoneering and Fletching. Ick. Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

Tonight I finished task #29, by mining 730 luminite/runite ores - and then some. After three runs to the Mining Guild, I ended up with 380 of each ore.

Onward to task #30 - complete 22 floors of Dungeoneering. That will be annoying. Still, it'll be better than having to fletch 3,000 bows! Aslon Dak: Still 'Scaping after 19 years!

The more I thought about it, the less enthused I became to work on either Dungeoneering or Fletching for task #30. So I decided to use one of my two free skips to auto-complete the task.
