Early this morning, I completed a Daily Dungeoneering Challenge by clearing Floor 35 on Complexity 6. It had been a month and a half since the last time I went dungeoneering.
I encountered four skilling doors. I easily reforged a broken key to unlock the door to the west of the starting room. Later on, I dispelled a magical barrier and a dark spirit. I couldn't dismiss a ramokee exile blocking a door south of a room in the northwest corner, as Summoning level 75 was required. A key was obviously beyond this door, since I never found the key to enter two separate locked bonus rooms.
In another room, I activated a monolith and protected it from attacks by mysterious shades.
I fought a level 110 zombie in one room. North of the room in the southeast corner I battled a magic-wielding level 102 skeleton. The rest of the monsters were considerably weaker.
In the boss room, immediately to the east of the starting room, I killed a Shadow-Forger Ihlakhizan. As usual, I ran in and overwhelmed it with melee attacks, even though the creature drained my stats by half. The level 91 beast died quickly. It dropped a bathus kiteshield. I brought 8 short-finned eels, 9 giant flatfish, and 9 dusk eels with me, yet I ate no food during the battle.
I unlocked Floor 36, supposedly. However, Daemonheim only has 35 Floors in F2P. When I climbed down the ladder to end the dungeon, I was returned to Floor 35.
I was looking forward to a rematch against Bal'Lak. Oh well, maybe next time.
