So... it's 9th consecutive patch week then? Surely there's more than patches after all this waiting?

To be honest, considering the sheer number of things they broke last week, I'll gladly take a patch week this week if it means seeing them fixed. That being said, it's unacceptable that a patch broke so much basic functionality that I'm willing to let them have a mulligan on it the following week, so... yeah, no matter how you slice it, September is not off to a good start.

bruh. i said 170 weeks that didn't involve not that there had been 170 consecutive weeks. but i misspoke. there have actually been 140 weeks since AOD was released and there have been 1 high level pvm update since. 98.95% of updates are not high level pvm, give us SOMETHING.

comparing clues to high level pvm is a ridiculous false equivalence. the entire game revolves around pvm in one way or another. chopping logs? someone is buying those to make simple parts for divine charges. runecrafting? combat supplies. fishing? food for combat. potions? combat supplies. chinchompas? combat supplies. farming? combat supplies. mining and smithing? combat gear. the entire game's economy is more or less built around pvm, not clues.

yeah, mining and smithing is real neat-o and a great use of dev time, man. a lot of people were excited about it and told their friends they need to make an account on runescape 3 to come play the mining and smithing rework.

i would argue that pvm is the best use of jagex's dev time if they want eyeballs on twitch and more players to log into their accounts. nobody wants to watch laps on the anachronia agility course, nobody is telling their friends to play runescape 3 for big game hunter, but PVM seems to do all those things. all the top runescape 3 streamers are pvmers, my now vacant friends list could be populated again if they released some high level pvm and pushed the endgame.

oof. i sure hope you were pulling my leg on that last paragraph, my man. the 40-50 mid level players in the game really enjoyed menaphos for the 2 weeks they needed it. sorry, but who enjoyed the magister? he's a 40 second dps dummy, you don't have time to enjoy the boss fight before it's over. runescape 3 has a very complex combat system that has an extremely high skill ceiling, that is entirely wasted by never releasing tough bosses.

Are you kidding me? Last week's update was huge, at least on the mobile side, though I'd say the Burthorpe declutterring was pretty significant too. Not to mention new/updated paths and new player experience.

Not every update has to be for veteran players.

Pretty sure they said at the very beginning of this month that there would be no updates, or possibly one near the end of the month, so I don't know why anyone is surprised over there being no updates today.

That said, love the patches, but yes, I hate when other things get broken.

I think it's less "surprise", more "exasperation". Three months in a row with only marginal amounts of new, non-limited-time-event content is uncharacteristic for RuneScape, and considering that we've had two patch weeks that went over like a lead balloon in the past month (the Sigil removal/rework and last week's), I'm not surprised that patience with Jagex is wearing thin right now.

Not helping matters is that, while Jagex has been talking about long-term goals lately, we really don't have any indication that things are going to improve in the short-term. October will likely also be sparse with Halloween and RuneFest, and while I'd personally be fine with December playing out like last year with a piece of permanent content served alongside limited-time goodies, I don't think it'll satisfy people who feel like the second half of 2019 has crashed and burned so far.

I'm more tolerant of Jagex than a lot of people here on the forums, and even I think that this is a terrible look, especially when there's been so many blunders with the few updates that we've had this summer. The past few months haven't really inspired confidence, and unless I'm wrong about October and November is a real barn-burner, I don't see that changing soon.

Your feedback literally means nothing lol. I'd rather have them fix the game rather than adding "new" content every week. Every new update comes out, something gets broken. I don't want to have new content come out and have everything else broken. For example, last week's update was the mobile interface overhaul. As it also affected desktop, there was a lot of unnecessary buffs/bugs that really needed to be fixed and it sometimes can't be simply fixed within one day.

I even looked at your stats on Runeclan and i see you're a player who hasn't even gained a single xp in over 2 years. Maybe stop complaining about wanting brand new content that you will consider "dead" content within 1 day and stop playing the game altogether. Your feedback isn't productive for Jagex to even look at. If you really want to give actual feedback, go on their social media or even be productive on here instead of complaining about patches.

This is true, he is OSRS player complaining on RS3 forums.

@solivagus

You say give us something.... Aod + Solak is 2 updates... I who likes clues a lot... got 1 update. More balance is required, 1 pvm update = 1 clue update = 1 quest update = 1 skill update thats how it should be.

I do not agree that everything is about PVM. Chopping Logs? Somebody buys them for firemaking/fletching. Runecrafting? Somebody is doing high alchemy merchs. Fishing? Somebody buys them for cooking. Mining and smithing? Somebody buys bars for burial armour. Etc. Etc. for everything you said its pvm related I can counter it that its NOT ONLY pvm related.

Nobody is enjoying Anachronia? Me and my friends are and many others are? A few actually started playing again to see the first RS3 skilling boss. The agility course is also really good, you can get competitive over something that isn't PVM for once finally.

All the top streamers are PVM'ers? Weird I watch some top streamers that are casual players and do skilling/clues a lot (and also PVM, allround players).

And yes I still enjoy the Magister. Saying that its a 40 second DPS dummy is very elitist. That might be your record. Not everyone has the gear that you have to make it 40 seconds. Quick calcs 40 sec 200k hp = 300k DPM. I bet you are one of those dudes that say: you need 900k gems to join my team. I got news for you, most of the community is under 750k gems and they are enjoying a 90 second Magister fight!

Menaphos has some of the best content released in a few years. Acadia's very nice woodcutting, Fishing was good till DSF was released, Soul runecrafting still best xp/h, and the slayer dungeon has some of the best money makers in game (big key drops, spark drops and salawa are one of the best elite clue droppers in the game).

Before I make an a$$ of myself with a bug report, aren't Burthorpe/Taverly achievements normally shown in the achievement's exploration section? I do not show either, not incomplete/complete, neither area is listed and I'm wondering if that's why familiarization in Taverley is broken.

**I asked a clan mate to look in hers and she doesn't see either area listed, either.

I noticed that too... I figured I just got unlucky and the D&D ended between teleporting and asking Pikkupstix about it. Maybe it's actually a bug then.
