F2P at the moment, so I cannot spade this myself, but I'm wondering what effect this update had on the Boric/Doric tasks and the Daily Challenges. It would be kinda awful to have a Daily Challenge to Lay Tracks without a basement, or to have to wait for the old skill levels to do this tasks. Audreyvi has no signature

Help! I just made an elder rune 2h sword, but when I try to make it +1, the game doesn't appear to recognize it. I did wield it and ignore the untradeable thing... does that make a difference? Do I have to upgrade all the way to +5 before wielding it?

Edit: Disregard, apparently it just needs to be repaired first.

For those who are happy with this update I am happy for you. Personally I am just glad I no longer have to hear about the mining and smithing update. Sorry I love Runescape and I am even a co-owner of a RS3 clan and I am very much involved in the rs community. This update has possibly created more dead content. Our clan is mainly PVM based several clannies have switched over to old school saying more focus is being placed on PVM there. The replacement of rune bar and item drops has ruined gp per hour PVMing wise, they do not sell some won't sell for 1 gp. A lot goes into PVMing armour, gizmos, auras, potions, familiars, weapons etc.. Many complain when one us replies about updates. But if you skilled and didn't make gp you would complain too. I am trying very hard to keep PVM friends on RS3 this update didn't help many are now saying they leaving and not renewing their membership that is sad. I do hope a JMOD reads this so something can be done.

I'm sure the bars replacing spirits is discussed a lot else where.

Though, if the wiki is up to date, why does elite rune dragons have a 100% spirit drop rate where as a regular rune dragon has a salvage 100% drop rate?

Also, with this update, unless looting perk changed, this just killed off the last good drop from looting perk: Runite Ore.
RIP looting perk.

And metal dragon trinkets still have auto bar loot option????

Hello,

Would just like to point out that Blacksmith's gloves do not seemed to have retained the Smelting gauntlets perk. When I smelt bars it only queues 28 and they are withdrawn to my inventory.

This may be intentional but it completely devalues the outfit as you now have to remove the gloves, lose the set effect to get the full benefit of the Smelting gauntlets perk.

Thanks its always been gear that shares a purpose gains the xp bonus not the other way around. cooking gauntlets count as sou chef, silverhawks count as nimble, smelting gauntlets count as blacksmithing

If you hover your mouse over the individual mining site icons on the world map it should pop up showing what is at each site, if not it might be worth toggling tooltip related settings and seeing if it works then.

Tbh, it's not all that useful as there's so many mining sites that if you don't have a clue where a particular ore is it could take you a while to find a site. Highlighting just mining sites would help speed it up, but still. Thankfully I already know some locations from the beta and resources available on the wiki, but relying on that kinda defeats the point.

As for shooting stars...yeah, completely broken, they're aware and working on it, hopefully won't take too long but it sounds like it requires a significant rewrite so could be broken for a while unfortunately.
