I made my first account in 2001, and to see fixed screen taken out...i feel like we might as well be back in the times of limited trade and the wilderness being safe...you might as well even remove hans...clan wars is dead, castle wars is dead, soul wars is dead, bounty hunter is dead, even the burthorpe games room has been forgotten...if you want to address anything from ye olde times...should have been those...this marks the end of an amazing era...RIP Runescape...

I also started playing in 2001. Fixed screen was taken out for the sake of the mobile version from what I am seeing. Mobile is ruining the pc version of the game in my opinion.

You forgot the most important part, Fist of Guthix is dead (as is Guthix himself :( ).

Which they have acknowledged now by planning to remove it in this month.
It's nice to be important, but it's more important to be nice.

It's probably more around 10-20%. So far 50 people have commented about the disappointment at the removal of fixed screen. Considering a sample population of the people who have posted so far in this thread, its more than 1%.

That's what you call "survey bias". Responses from forum users and on Reddit are in no way representative of the general population of players. Players only post their concerns if it actually affects them, thus a vocal minority. Jagex has the data on the general usage, and this is the right direction moving forward into the future.

I can already guarantee that the minority of players using the Java client will complain when it eventually gets phased out, so that RS can move forward into the future... And then, these players will think that it's a much larger percentage of players still using Java than in reality.
