I have the exact same problem on my Samsung J5 2016, Android 7.1.1. I played the Beta and after the official release.
It worked fine until a recent update, after which, when I tried to open OSRS on my phone, it took me to the store cause I had to update the game, only to say that my device is incompatible.
I tried uninstalling the app, now I can't find it in the store at all.

Yep happened here too, Sony m4 Aqua, Android 5.0 been playing beta with No issues took a month or so break, came back to being told by Google play store that My device is incompatible. After buying 3month membership, with the assumption it would work because the beta did.

Ashbury, I understand the frustration and I think many people do. But we gotta take into consideration that Jagex have also just released a new update. They are probably busy and will look into it ASAP.
Besides, I think this takes time and isn't very easy to fix.
