Djinn
, Lord of the Genies.

Below Pollnivneach lies an arcane secret, the hideout of a Genie god.

History of Genies

Genies used to be free magical beings made from fire by the elder god Ful on a planet far away from Gielinor. They formed a culture dedicated to constructing majestic palaces and exploring the horizons of the magical powers they were given. The powers of these genies largely affected how they looked; Naive genies were light blue, more powerful genies were more colorful, and genies who had practiced black magic darkened in color.

Alas, the magic attracted a malevolent god that enslaved them all and put them in lamps to do his dirty bidding. The lamps they were put in depended on their powers:

Golden Lamps
contained naive Genies.
Prismatic Lamps
contained more powerful Genies.
Smouldering Lamps
contained the most powerful genies, those who possessed the powers of prismatic Genies along with dark magics.

Djinn

Djinn was the most powerful Genie, adept in all kinds of magic. He was the darkest in color among his kin as he was the most experienced in dark magic. However, this caused him to be the most abused genie. The malevolent god would put Djinn's dark knowledge into practice on a large scale, and with every wish the god made, Djinn's face evolved and he darkened in color.

Eventually Djinn evolved to be a faceless pitch black entity. He lost his eyes because he couldn't bear to see the destruction he was forced to cause, he lost his nose because he couldn't bear to smell the smokes of what once was his home, he lost his ears because he couldn't bear to listen to the screams of his kin, and he lost his mouth because he couldn't resist the orders of his master. However, he did not lose his senses.

Ascension

Djinn embraced his corruption and accepted what he had became, which gave him a clear mind once again. The malevolent god was consumed by greed, and became less careful with his wishes. Eventually, the god made a wish that Djinn was able to exploit, as he managed to find a loophole which sealed the fate of the god and ascended Djinn to Godhood.

As a god, Djinn became his own master. However, he was not able to free his people from their lamps, and thus they became his servants. Djinn’s ascension tormented him as he hated the concepts of Godhood and Tyranny, but he once again had to accept what he has become. His people were free to do whatever they wanted, and because he didn’t want to corrupt the pure, he worked solely with his smouldering kin.

Personality:
Charming, Exploitive.

Concept Art

Powers and Abilities

- In general, all smouldering genies can sublime and hide in the air.
- He can see through the eyes of his kin, acquiring a pair of glowing eyes when he does so (shown in concept art).
- He can reflect elemental damage.
- He can reanimate the dead with a spark of magic, turning them into mighty spellcasters.
- He can teleblock gods who are on his tier or lower.
- He can sense greed, which empowers him.
- Making a wish or “deal” with him comes at a cost. Since he has free will he can refuse a wish, and generally only accepts deals he can exploit. He especially gets thrilled when he’s making a deal with a greedy person.
- He can’t die unless killed with an elder artifact.

Restrictions & Weaknesses

- He can’t remotely kill someone, however he can get in combat or rain fire over an area if he knows the location of his nemesis.
- He can’t control or locate beings or artifacts.
- He can’t enter the shadow realm.
- He can’t bring the dead back to life, as the soul is gone. However he can zap a corpse and reanimate it as an undead spellcaster.
- A fatal strike in combat would drop his gem and put him back in a lamp. He becomes bound to whoever possesses his gem.

The Arrival to Gielinor - First Age

With not much left in his world, Djinn ventured off to find a world with strong anima to sustain his kin. His travels gave him more than what he bargained for as he found the world that Ful was sleeping on, Gielinor! Djinn and his kin were among the first to enter Gielinor in the first age, it is there where he met Guthix, Seren, and the TokHaar. Djinn was very close to Guthix as they both loathed godhood, and had mutual feelings to express. In order to bring Humans and Genies together as well as avoid abuse, Djinn promised Guthix that his kin would only grant Humans wisdom that would help them in their daily skills.

Incognito Mode - Second Age

More gods started arriving on Gielinor in the second age. Djinn didn’t know what to expect from these gods so he concealed his existence by hiding in the air, avoiding contact, and observing the acts of the other gods. One big contributor to his cloaking is the fear of becoming a servant again if defeated. However he did confront one particular god, Tumeken, who became his ally.

Avoiding Banishment - Third Age

With Guthix’s awakening, Djinn rejected the idea of being banished, as he had come this far and this close to the elder god that created his kind. To avoid banishment, he transferred his powers into his gem and hid it in a secure place. He anticipated the fact that his lamp’s smoke would attract attention so he created a dungeon below Pollnivneach and filled it with fiery creatures and beasts to conceal the true source of smoke in that dungeon. Satisfied with his plan, Djinn hid in a secret chamber in that dungeon and trapped himself inside his lamp, remotely observing the events on Gielinor through the eyes of his kin, and awaiting Ful’s attention when she wakes up.

The awakening - Sixth Age

The nosy thief Ozan explores the smoke dungeon and uncovers the hidden entrance to Djinn’s chamber, where he finds a lamp unlike any lamp he’s ever seen; A huge black & gold smouldering lamp with an empty gem socket on it. As he rubs it, the lamp furiously pours out a cloud of smoke, from which the faceless naked genie emerges. Although Djinn didn’t wish to be awakened, he once again had to accept the situation and think quickly of a solution. Djinn saw greed in the thief’s eyes, and knew he would do anything to get a wish.

Manipulation & Ascension

Djinn already knew who Ozan was, as he has watched him through the eyes of a servant smouldering genie, and he knew that he would call the world guardian for help. Ozan started demanding his wishes, but Djinn carried out a stubborn attitude with him and told him that he can’t grant any wishes, which was true because he can only serve whoever possesses his gem – but he doesn’t tell that to Ozan.

Triggered and frustrated, Ozan confronts the world guardian and tells him about the dysfunctional genie that he found, and leads the world guardian to the genie’s chamber. When Djinn is summoned again, he inspects the world guardian and confirms his/her good intentions. He reveals that he’s weakened, incapable of granting any wish without his gem, and that he couldn’t trust a greedy thief on his own.

Without mentioning that holding the gem would make him their slaves, Djinn promises the World Guardian and Ozan that he would grant them three wishes each if they insert the gem into the lamp’s socket.

When they return, Djinn offers the lamp to the World Guardian, who inserts the gem in its socket. The lamp rages once again and pours smoke around Djinn, clothing him. The gem glows brightly and enters a state of superposition – appearing on the lamp and on Djinn’s robes simultaneously, until the lamp crumbles into dust.

Manipulation & Ascension (cont'd)

Shocked, the World Guardian asks Djinn what he is, to which he reveals that he is a god. The idea of a genie god entices Ozan, and he begins making his absurd wishes. But the genie god interrupts Ozan and tells him that he doesn’t grant wishes to humans himself. After being accused of lying, Djinn gives three smouldering lamps to both the World Guardian and Ozan.

“I kept my word, naïve humans. Three wishes each, but they won’t be from me.”

Having observed the gods remotely in the second, third, and sixth ages, Djinn knows the powers of the others gods and no longer fears them.

“Besides,” he adds as he takes one last glance at the greedy thief, “trust me when I say that you wouldn’t want a wish from me. Now excuse me, I have pressing manners to take care of.” After which he teleports away.

Julio, Goddess of Love and Jealousy

Part 1 Story time
Once, long ago, a young girl named Juliet was betrayed by her love, a young man named Romeo. Originally, they were in true love, and would do anything to be together. The only thing in their way was Juliet's father, who saw Romeo as nothing more then a street tramp. They thought they would never be together, until one day, a mysterious stranger helped send a love letter that would lead the two to form a plan. To trick Juliets father, Juliet faked her death; it worked, and she was sent to the morgue. Sadly, when Romeo went to awaken Juliet, he instead met her cousin Phillipa, and instantly fell in love with her, leaving poor Juliet petrified in the morgue for some time.
When she was finally freed, and her family informed of the whole ordeal, she was so upset her father decided it was best to leave the city of Varrock, moving to a small secret island to the far south, so his daughter would never see Romeo again. There, Juliet began to hear voices of a young girl who wanted nothing but love. She thought she was going crazy, thinking it to be her past self materialized in her head. She heard the voice every minute of every day, making her weep and seize uncontrollably. Her father thought she had gone mad, and insisted on bringing doctors to the secret island; sadly, none could figure out how to cure her. After years of this torture, the voice finally emerged in Juliet's bed room. At first Juliet was scared of the beast, until she noticed it was crying.
“Whats wrong, beast? Why do you cry?”
“I am alone, I always have been. But then I heard the pain of a jealous heart, and hoped to speak to it. But now, the barrier that kept me from seeing this heart is gone, and you can see how ugly I am.”
“But beast," Juliet replied, "I don't think you're ugly; you're the voice in my head, so if you're ugly, so am I.”

Juliet reached out to hug the beast, but the beast, out of fear, ate her in one great bite. It hadn't meant to, but the deed was done. To mourn the girl, the beast took her very soul, and fused it to it's large girthy body, causing it to manifest into a sort of growth on the beast body; one with no mind or heart. The beast could feel the girls pain, but soon heard another heart shatter. Quickly forgetting Juliet altogether, the beast left without a trace, in hopes to help another heart heal...

Part 2 Powers
Julio has the ability to listen in on those whos hearts have been broken, while she often comes to help her hunger and fear normally gets the better of her. She has an endless stomach and feeds upon the pain of others but hopes to instead heal them. After recreating Juliets image upon herself Julio also has the ability to talk using her voice, making her sound softer and less like a gurgling monster.

Before Juliet
She cant remember anything before Juliet except for hunger. She believes Juliet is still very much inside her and that because of Juliet she now has the ability to remember, if only to the point when she ate her.

Romeo
Julio can still feel the pain Romeo caused Juliet and hopes to one day ether eat or kill him.

I was going to write up a large amount of content for this one, but I got slammed hard with work, so this is what I've got last minute:

With Sliske's God Killing Competition going on, follower form all races and God factions getting more and more worried about the survival of the planet. They pray that someone - or something - out there is listening to protect the common races of the planet. The collective prayers mix with the remains of Guthix the planet still bares and forms a new being - a living prayer if you will - that things will change and that it can protect them.

It is Salvation.

We call him Sal for short, but his beliefs are those similar to Guthix. Balance and peace, but unlike him he is willing to fight for peace. He knows that in order for peace to follow, there must be fighting.

But ultimately, he will protect us.

Appearance:

Armor: Traditional heavy plate armor, silver/grey. Red to black fade trim from top to bottom.
Wings: White angel-like wings, turns to black scale towards the bottom. Drips blood off the bottom most parts.
Physical: Stands about 3 meters tall, head of a human, thick beard only an inch long, ears of elves. Legs have an extra joint. Doesn't speak with his mouth. A voice emanates from around him to communicate.
