I am kinda wondering, when I think at the great library, I also kinda think at Avatar the last airbender, where there is one great library located in the desert, containing mainy pieces of books and mostly scrolls from all over the world, are there also some (interesting) scrolls added not from the desert to Menaphos?
EXP is not important, it's important to have fun and play with your friends.

This would allow people to have 500 or 1000 words, but spreading it over 2 or 4 books.
No - most books in game are very limited on word count and so we decided that we would offer 250 words as a reasonable limit to tell a story on, but would not remove our capability to add the books. Every book has to be localised in the other languages RuneScape is available in and so we needed to consider that in our choices. At the point we allowed 1000 word submissions we would only be able to consider adding 2 or 3 people's work to the game.
Fair enough.
My idea was in the line of having 4 distinct books that each have the 250 (or less) word limit.
Never hurts to have clarification.
Sent in a pair of submissions myself (on my main's username).
Hope they're at least entertaining
