for hosting today's (January 1st) skilling event--I thought the skilling obelisk was way cool, and it was hysterical how everyone looked like super possessed cultists during the skilling obelisk emote.

Being able to get combat xp with the snowmen was also really cool! Shauny's thoughtfulness (in response to a request?) brought in-game some of the snowmen from 2015's P.I.N.C.H.mas winter event, and apparently if you attacked one you received a lamp (albeit which could only be redeemed in a member's world).

LOL I'M SO SORRY, GENUINE MISTAKE (I truly apologize if I recall or spell your UN wrong) for the help in the friends chat--I teleported to Varrock and didn't understand the skilling event and what was going on, because I didn't see the skilling obelisk by myself lmao.

, I saw you in-game just as I joined the situation (around 15:45ish?) except you were already on the brinks of logging out.

My one and only very large disappointment is how during the brief few minutes I was there (before I got picked up by a friend to drive to downtown Los Angeles, so I couldn't see how the rest of the event went), was how the conversation was super lacking.
During my few minutes at the event, at least, no one seemed interested in generating a discussion that didn't involve jgod Shauny, which made me sad since I was looking forward to meeting and chatting with live and interesting people.


I ended up running into the bank to escape the global chat and ended up chatting with my clan, guest clan, and pestering reconnecting with a semi-afk and lobby chillin'

Hey Viv,

Glad you could make it to the event even it was for a short period of time, as to the people not talking to each other that's sad to hear, myself and a few others (around 5-7 people) were a few spots away from the well of goodwill and we were talking to each other actively, i don't know where you were standing but we were close to the bank.
Considering it was a f2p skill and chill event there were a lot of people, i'm sure in the future during other events when there arent that many people it'll be a lot more active in talking to each other. HTML

And no worries about the event, I know I didn't have the time to start a conversation when I was getting my ex pee on at the skilling obelisk, nor able to run around and find a conversation :P

Maybe I'll get to chat with you the next event I visit, and thanks for letting me know about the conversation!

I don't know if you attend events regularly but usually that's how F2P events go. It's a Jmod event so people come to see a Jmod and the event being in F2P makes it a bit "worse", they see Jmods even less than P2P.

I do understand what you're saying, I went to the event with a friend and we ended up leaving for the Varrock clothes store after 10 minutes because of the insane amount of chat that was either directed to Shauny or something completly random. But again, it were probably a lot of people who had never seen a Jmod before and wanted a short talk/advice.

This week there will be a Heist event and probably that will be more to your liking as people are split into different groups and will talk with their teams then. Well, that's what I try to do anyway.
