Well, I can confirm it. And it sounds like a fresh install wouldn't fix it either. Maybe I need to see if I can install RuneScape in a Windows VM. Tried that a long time ago and it didn't work but I don't remember why. Course that means I'd have to *buy* Windows 10.
I was given the advice by tech support to turn my graphics to minimum (at the loading screen, before logging in / selecting world). This allowed me to escape the Anachronia Farm as well!
Sir Jester, are you saying that you didn't need any workaround, just, things on Feb 1st got better? (I'm scared to go back and try this out
)
Well, I spoke to soon. Things worked for one day and now I'm back to being unable to run it on Linux. Works fine on my Mac (but as that's my work computer it's not something I want to use on a regular basis
)
I updated from Fedora 32 to 33 (unrelated to RuneScape - needed to upgrade) but no joy.
In my case, I'm not in Anachronia but Yanille.
I haven't tried the loading graphics you mentioned TTFK216, but as it crashes during loading I'll give that a try tonight.
Setting the graphics to a minimum and blowing away the cache files seems to have fixed whatever the problem was. When I first logged on it reset my graphics and has been working ever since.
See if Mod Dark's post will help.
