How official are the Linux options these days? I'll gladly use the Ubuntu snap package, but I'm uneasy about it if it's unofficial.

The only official Linux option is provided by the download page on this website. The flatpak and snap (is there a docker, too?) are all put together by 3rd parties. While they do use the official client other people have put together these methods of installing the official client because of shortcomings that Jagex hasn't addressed. Jagex provides a Linux client but it isn't supported as well as we'd like.

Anyone else getting whacky mouse focus issues on RS today? I've not changed anything on my PC or even rebooted, but RS seems to be really struggling to regain mouse focus if I move to another window and back again (Not alt-tab, just mouse'ing over). Keyboard focus is fine, and oddly if I alt+tab to RS it works fine as well. Using Arch + Plasma 5, with the AUR Runescape-launcher package.

Does anyone know why my font size in the game is so freaking small + how to fix it? Even after stretching it full screen, it's incredibly tiny. I've tried upping my base DPI to 200DPI (over double its default) just to see if it made any difference, and it seems not to have. (I restarted the client but not my entire system between, if that may have made a difference.) It's literally borderline illegible. I'm running Ubuntu with a Plasma desktop.

To be clear, this is on OSRS.

Pomegranatum,

I'm not sure about the Plasma desktop but seems like Linux in general doesn't always play nice with HiDPI screens which you seem to have. This might be of interest to you:

Jess1029,

You should start your own thread rather than posting about your issue on other people's threads. This is a Linux help thread and not meant for getting support with Mac issues.

KgxJr,

The NXT client was made to run on 64-bit Intel/AMD CPUs. The Raspberry Pi series of single board computers have ARM based CPUs, a different CPU architecture. When you run the code to install the NXT client package it looks for packages that match your CPU architecture. There are none so you get that error message. There is no way around it.

Or, maybe I've misunderstood which code you are trying to run. You didn't post it.

However, I think OSRS might work if you can find a client launcher that is OK with ARM. IIRC there is a Java Runtime Environment for the ARM architecture.
