My jagex launcher isn't running, when I click on "play" buttom, it appears "..." and doesn't run. I tried to unninstal and it and didn't resolve. I lost 2-3 days of membership because of this.

If I don't want to uninstall the current, newest version of Java, and have to download the Jagex Launcher (Returning Member) in order to play, is my only option to wait until the Dev Team updates the Apple Silicon launcher download?

I would rather not screw around with uninstalling and installing different versions of Java, just for gaming.

I'm currently on M2.

I hope they get the Jagex Launcher for MacOS working on Java 8, which is apparently the newest version of Java I'm currently using.

If you are looking for Java on your M2 maybe you should be looking here ...

https://www.java.com/en/download/

Irecently downloaded it for an M1 and it works perfect.

I appreciate the response!

I was able to successfully install the newest Java version, but am still unable to install the Jagex Launcher for some reason. Do I need to uninstall the prior version of Java that i was previously using? ("Update 1.8.0_333", now updated to "Update 1.8.0_381).

Under "User" in the Java Control Panel it lists both versions, but under "System" it only shows the newest version I've just updated to. Is this correct?

Hey Rustyapple02, according to what I have on M1 I would recommend uninstalling said 'older-version' as a possible solution.

Hopefully it will fix it, if not, I would recommend a re-install of '
Jagex Launcher
'.

It finally works!

I had to completely uninstall all versions of Java, reinstall the latest version (1.8.0_381) as the only version installed, and then reinstall the Jagex launcher Installation Wizard to try installing the Jagex Launcher again.

It went perfect, first try.

P.S Most, if not many, Mac users need to keep in mind that they MAY need to MANUALLY update their Java Version like I had to in this case. Make sure not to make the mistake of relying on the automatic update feature found in the Java Control Panel.

Thank you so much for the assistance!

I have a 2017 MacBook Air with OS Monterey 12.6.8

Anyone could give me a suggestion how could I fix it this problem ?
