I tried to create a Jagex account via the green button on the 'My Account' page, but it gives me the 'access denied' error (see below).

I tried using different browsers (Chrome, Firefox, even Edge *shrudders*), I tried on my iPad, I tried with my alt. Nothing works!

I don't want to be locked out of the game in a week because Jagex doesn't allow me to create a Jagex account! Kings Eastwood in

The recommendations are that 1) you wait an hour before logging in again and 2) to try to connect using a different method, i.e., using mobile data . Unfortunately, there is nothing else to do at the moment other than reporting the issue to Jagex, if you wish, using the instructions here: Website access denied .

Furthermore, it has also been recommended to disable VPNs if you are using them to see if that fixes the issue.

I've tried it again after more than an hour, and it still doesn't work. I don't use a VPN, and I don't have a device that uses mobile data to test.

I've sent in a report (twice, the first time it wanted to know if I was a robot and made me log ni again and bthen brought me back to an empty form). I hope they can help. At least i got a confirmation email that it arrived.

Maybe I could try it on a different computer elsewhere using Teamviewer.

The site here decided to not post my first reply, so I had to type this all again.

As far as I am aware, there is "nothing to fix" as the website is working as intended, per Mod Lyon's statement. If you check Mod Lyon's Forums profile, you will see the thread at the top titled "

Access Denied 1020 for 10+ wks (moved)

". Unfortunately, the thread is no longer available so I can't quote what he stated there.

Basically, the "fixes" are to keep waiting and/or to try to use another type of Internet connection.

My advice to you is ... as long as the process of creating an Jagex Account isn't completed/confirmed please take said account to a 'standalone RuneScape Client' and log in like you always have done to keep it in the loop of a RuneScape Account.

I was able to create a Jagex account and import my two accounts into it at work (during lunch break). It seems to work fine now. I can play, I can post on the forums. I'm happy.

No reply yet from Jagex.
