I have a maxed acc as well as a bpure I know what high level Pvm is like. I just feel a huge portion of yea to shields are looking at nothing aside from omg I want to make bank off one drop.
If you had a max account you would use it to send that message if you thought I'd highscore you.
I dont care about making bank, money is easy to make.
Spirit shields look amazing, they are an amazing reward from a hard boss, they are fun to use for solo/duo PvM, there's an endless list.

Who cares if arc devalues malediction ward??? Devaluation is only a problem if something lower tier devalues something higher tier, like enhanced excalibur devaluing sgs or guthans. If something higher tier is better than something lower tier then go figure it's gonna be more worth. There will be ppl who can't afford a 30m arcane so they will but the 2m alternative instead to go barrows or whatever so your scorpia boss will still be profitable. Stop worrying so much about it.
Lol, arcane/spec wont devalue odium/maled, ppl are cute.
Okay, turns out I didn't fully read the calculation formula for the sigil drop rate. I was taking the 512 and 128 modifier (used by the ring of wealth in the build I have) and multiplying them where the code was (in the code I have now, and wasn't where the code was then).
A mixture of my failure to read the code all the way through and it not being distinctly clear in the first place! (Hence the first RoW bug!)
If the drop table roll returns a sigil (1 in 512), the breakdown of the individual sigils beyond that was:
3 in 8 for spectral
3 in 8 for arcane
1 in 8 for elysian
1 in 8 for divine
(I.e. 75% of all sigils are spectral or arcane, while 25% are divine or elysian.)
Sorry for the confusion, albeit a tragically way off bought of confusion!

As you can see, the spectral has extremely good defences all across the board. There is really no shield that beats it in this, unless you count div/ely (which still loses stat-wise).
The biggest use is the magic defence, but the fact that it can actually take melee hits (unlike odium ward) makes it better than all lower-tier shields for tanking purposes. It's not as good as ely/div but it is still a very solid choice for a ton of bosses.

That is much more reasonable, last rate you gave was crazy. Will be 131 divines with this drop rate for every 1 with last drop rate.
Maxed Sept 24th, 2015 - 134th to max
Ok, so somebody who is more knowledgeable that I please inform me:
What would these shields go for, probably? (a few months in once the initial rush has settled)
I do NOT want these to be like RS3 where it's a game-changing event that can give you in 20 mins what it would take 400 hours of runecrafting at 99 to make.
very expensive wont go like 1b - 50m for divine, think it will hang around 700m.
Divine is 1/4096, crazy how rare, almost as third age but this has a good use/stats and has to be split between a lot of people. So yeh ofc i cant know but divine will probably keep over 500m for a long long time.
