"Magic Mirror" - An addition to a bow or cross bow that reduces the accuracy of magic attacks. The combat triangle is SUPPOSED to be melee owns range, range owns mage, and mage owns melee. However, in my observations recently I have noticed that even while wearing all ranger gear, mages hit the majority of the time. The 'splashing' of spells against rangers seems non-existent now. Quite often the very first TB and entangle hit people wearing full ranger gear while the magic casters simply wear ghost robes. I remember being a mage and expecting the majority of my spells to 'splash' off somebody in black dragonhide, etc. What happens now is mages attack with entangle, then stand out of range of the cross bow or short bow and constantly hit people in full ranger gear with god spells hitting 25+. For this reason, rangers need something to further fix the combat triangle in regards to mages. Ranger aren't supposed to be able to get owned by mages in this way. A simple addition to a bow that drastically reduces mage accuracy would help fix this.

^"Full ranger gear" or d hide vamps+chaps? Since you mentioned pures, I'm assuming it's the later in which case it's not full mage gear. Either case, you also have to realize that most of your mage defense comes from your mage level.

As a mage, rangers are always my most difficult fights, even the ones who are not capable of wearing full d hide. D hide chaps, vamps + hard leather body is enough to give me hell if they have a decent mage lvl and I use mystic, not ghostly.

So, what's your mage level A F K?

Believe magic to only be for support? Think again. It's just as valid of a Pking style as melee and range is.

I am 79 mage and 78 range in OSRS, combat level of 56. (Likely 80/80 by the end of the day or weekend). Even in black * hide vambs, chaps, hard body leather, ava's, coif, rune cbow, glory ammy and a dfire shield I have yet to have a single tele-block, entangle or god spell splash on me. They constantly hit.


99 mage/range on RS3.

Host a BH PKing video competition to try and get people to make PKing videos like before, which is a huge reason why PvP was so active back then. Everything stated here is forwarded from a major corporation. Nothing here is my opinion. Enjoy your salad.

Would prefer an item add-on to the archer ring for the ring of influences ability.

We *must* see the stats of dragon defender/ blessed saradomin sword before they are polled. I'll be voting no unless confirmed stats are shown as I have only a small idea as to how much of a bonus the dragon defender will have over the runner defender. Although I imagine it'll only be +1 strength/ +2-3 stab/slash/crush.

It's going to come from berserker Cyclopes which will be accessed by a spike anyone can buy since items are tradable. If you don't want to pk for it then buy it. This will be best in slot is some situations and I personally think it shouldn't be "free" like all the other defenders. Jagex isn't forcing anyone to pk to get these rewards which makes them balanced.

You're still missing the +50 from black *'hide body and the 30% magic defense that comes from your actual defense level. (you have none of that since you're 1 def)

Pure builds aren't a good representation of the combat triangle. You'll throw everything else off if you try balancing the game around them.
