too mod reach,
giving partyhats each year has no point whatsoever,
you can give everyone that plays now 2 sets, but count this as the last year,
then evryone who playes now, we are the actual community, has the chanse to get even 5 phat sets or more, even the biggest poorest noob,
then its fair, theres no point giving these phats 3 years from now.
whats the point of them otherwise?
There is no point to them. They're a vanity item with only one purpose, fun. They were never intended to be discontinued rare items you hoard in order to make bank.
I'll clarify that this is only a brief to get feedback on. It's clear there are many who do not like the idea which is perfectly fine. If you don't like it, we won't do it!
Should give everyone 2 party hat sets and 2 crackers or 16 crackers (enough for 2 sets + 2 crackers) and no hats.
As for rainbow phat, using a phat on another one with a set in invo gives you a rainbow phat. Rightclick option on the rainbow phat to revert it back to the set.

The whole point of 16 crackers is to give every 1 a phat set? So why not just give 2 phat sets lol.
phats were in Christmas crackers first, so a few more crackers instead of make phat sets out side of those, it would keep things more old school.
Nothing about the current rare system is oldschool so what does that matter? lol

First of all, ty for replying to my post mod reach, and ty for all your hard work regarding this game.
we'll i guess players like me cannot meet in the middle, regarding your point of vue on the matter. I understand why some players dont want phats and other holiday items to take a great amount of value, cuz of different reasons.
But many many players want them to be discontinued for different reasons.
1) Its how it was in runescape 2007
2) its a challange, that let you train skills for hours, just to get that rare.
Like i said before, i think if you want these items to be special, without giving them value, then make them UNTRADABLE. that way they are special cuz players who wear these phats, where around at that time, giving them some nostalgia value.
Cuz i rather wear a untradable phat proudly on my head, than a 400k bank space waste item , that i can drop anyway, cuz im gonna get tons more in the future.
Anyway, can we make a poll about this question?
- Do you want phats, santas etc to be made untradable just like other untradable holiday items?
yes/no
I don't like the rainbow party hat idea. I was hoping to just get some regular party hats at the Christmas event. If you do the rainbow phat instead, then everyone who missed the other times when party hats were given out has no chance to get them unless they buy them.
Just my 2 cents.
Everything else looks good. Thanks!
