As far as updates to the game go, this sounds great! BUT please don't overdo it guys and I would hate to see faster training methods & more powerful equipment put into the game. I think that could really do some damage. We already have plenty powerful enough items and fast enough training methods. Be careful with this idea :P I think it could go very right, or very wrong.

I got a question and suggestion. As you mention this new continent can be anything really. Will this continent be mainly for players that got further into the game, or will lower level players like lvl 3's also find a new home?
If so, would making an entire new catalog of armours be to much? like you have bronze iron steel mithril etc etc.. The new one would have fairly similar stats, but would just fit in with the whole theme of the new continent.
As it is roman/greek-ish (judging from the new dual arena thingy) I'd like to see some new armours like the roman mohawk hats or perhaps weapons like spears etc.

If roman is not the theme you were going to go for, well im sure other culturs have other armours too :)

I'd love you forever if my player owned construction house could have nice marble pillars. Like really, I'd love you.

A bit over the top, but what about a new God ?

Since this is a new CONTINENT, I don't think it needs a theme. It is a huge area, therefore there could be lots and lots of cultures. All that I ask is that you please make it have lot's of forests, mountains, etc. I don't want to walk from one city to another in 3 minutes like I can from Varrock to Falador. I want to get immersed in a new world please :( .

I think they want it to be for as mainly people as possible. Reach has expressed that he wants there to be spots for pures, as well as content for mains, and I'd expect that skillers would also have room in this new continent.

I like the idea of a volcano and the ability to climb it and go inside with a new volcanic town possibly with bosses, shops, new items, training areas and quest's. This could lead to a quest citing a potential feud between the people living underwater and the people living inside the volcano. Where the brine sabre is used to fight an underwater boss and then another new but similar weapon used to fight inside the volcano with a special attack that is more effective in the volcano!

The city on the brink of extinction has a lot of potential. It'd be a great idea to have it so you build the city up, hire people, start campaigns to bring in a population, putting money into the city to get resources and taxes out, and have it so it incorporates every skill, maybe having it so you could hire miners and set them to mine essence, and hire runecrafters to turn 80% of that essence into a random set of runes depending on their tier/quality, with higher quality workers costing more in wages. It'd be great if you had to defend the city from monsters every so often like troll invasion.

A lot of skills need new content aswell, for example a new essence in runecrafting that requires like 60 mining but gives you double the xp, and can only be used after like 60 rc.

A few ideas for the Colosseum:

How about a game mode where you're put against a random opponent and both players are given random gear/weapons and pots/food in inventory and have to make best of what they've got to beat their opponent? With a possible option to make random loot drop around the Colosseum during the fight to have people mid fight running to get a better weapon or runes off the floor to give them an advantage?

Or even a ranking type game mode where everyone starts off at Rank 1, which gives you a Bronze Sword to fight against a random opponent (similar rank) and each time you rank up you again a new piece of gear or an upgrade e.g. at Rank 2 you get a Bronze Med Helm to use with your Bronze Sword in your next fight or like at Rank 79 your Dragon Scimitar gets upgraded to an Abyssal Whip. Or it can just unlock the Abyssal Whip so you have a selection of unlocked weapons to choose from for each fight. If a random player opponent sounds unfair, states could be all 99 for this mini game. You can even change the player opponents to computer controlled characters with slightly better gear than your rank instead?

Another idea is to have a point system. Each equipment has a certain point value. You gain more points the more fights you win, giving each player a point value that they can keep increasing. At the start of the each fight you can pick a mixture of equipment with the points you have. For example: I have reached 235 points and my next fight I choose a Dragon Scimitar (150 points), Rune Plate Body (50 points) and Mithril Gloves (35 points). I win my fight and gained 15 points, making my total points 250 for my next round.

Just a few ideas that to me, would give a more gladiator feel to the Colosseum. Sorry if some of these ideas have been repeated, I haven't read though other comments yet ^_^
