That's why investigating what makes areas become dead content, what attraction there is to successful towns and what appeal there would be to a new expanse is so crucial for us.

Very interesting. Reach, i don't want to get off-topic here but will you consider looking at existing dead content and improve them too?

Minigames, for example have lackluster rewards that makes them not worthwhile to do unless they are fun enough to play during leisure times.

Shades of Mort'ton.
Ectofuntus.
Tai Bwo Wanni Clean-Up.

1. For Shade of Mort'ton, the prayer exp from shades need buffing, high level chest needs several "junk" removed, and possibly content that improve Splitbark. It is extremely frustrating for new players to do the Quest because nobody repairs the temple.

I have a dedicated thread for this topic: Shades of Mort'ton overhaul

2. As for the Ectofuntus, the Ecto-tokens serve no purpose. Add a shop that uses Ecto-Tokens as currency. Make sure it sells Bonecrushers ;)

3. Same goes for the Tai Bwo Wanni Cleanup, the Trading sticks have limited uses. A shop that sells useful (but not overpowered) items would do the trick. Anti-poison Totem anyone?

That's my 2 cents so far.

underwater city looks awesome!

That's where I want the new race to be as well. Sort of like the Gungan city in my mind.
Weesa hate Jar Jar, so yousa better be careful.

As far as a new continent, at least make the current one sort of look complete. Sort of like what Other RuneScape did.

RS3 spammed the mainland with quests and dungeons so much that you can't walk for a few minutes without running into something that contributes to the gods and the fate of the world.

I think he just means reshaping some coastlines and borders so that the old continent ends with actual land, rather than black space :p

Looks neat!

Can you save a spot for Corp if it should pass a poll? I wasn't a fan of Corp being stuck in a dark cave. This could enforce a quest requirement to be able to kill it, just like old times.

this is an awesome idea! maybe near by to a bank that requires a quest to use, otherwise you have to charter from camelot or other ports to get back to the island

but maybe something different from corp since he was already done

Really loving The Port Roberts Idea.

Here's my thoughts on it.

You guys should also make new stat boosting items too, Like new Gloves, and boots, You've been leaving out those two varieties of items and not expanding them. And it's not just me who would love seeing new Gloves and boots with good stats items release with the new content. Honestly the "dragon boots, and barrows gloves combo" is really getting old. I can also see you guys also release western themed armour like how RS3 with its Ports Minigame, I.E An armour set like Tetsu would be perfect and a high level katana.

Now my ideas for Civitas illa fortis

You should also make a minigame inside of it and turn it into an reward base point system from winning duels. And rewarding players High level Armour/gloves/boots/weapons. I think it'd be great, we need more things like that in ORS, you guys need too add more minigames with amazing rewards.

I'm not saying Nightmare Zone was a bad idea, but I don't like the rewards at all... I wish you guys could recreate Dominion tower and bring back Goliath Gloves, Swift gloves, Spell caster gloves, the version before they drastically changed when EOC came out.

So those are my thoughts, I hope the team hears me out, I'm not the only one that wants these ideas in, But as a player, I could see myself spending hours trying to earn enough or obtain those rewards, and those are type of dedicated players that you guys need for ORS, other than that I don't wanna lose interest in playing this game.

I hope the team takes their time to read this, it'll be awesome if you guys would create this!

The name could be Fructuarius which means fertile in latin or Novi Profectus which is new journey.

Atlantis could have a water themed fight cave where you can obtain the fire cape's magic equivalent cape, the water cape.

There could be an air citadel of avainsee dedicated to Armadayl, where you can obtain the fire cape's range equivalent cape, the air cape.

There could be an underground city of golem type creatures which give either the defense or skilling fire cape equivalent, the earth cape.

to obtain water you must risk losing fire

to obtain earth you must risk losing air

There is one more fight area you can do that creates the elemental cape, but it's the hardest of them all and if you lose all of your capes are town torn.

A bit eccentric and tough, but gamer's love a challenge. O_o

there's one thing i'd like to see happen. i was intrigued by the sailing skill and i have a suggestion. the sailing skill, even at it's job as a prank, was way too fast. slow it down considerably and make certain areas of the new content have a sailing skill requirement.

let players take their ship that they purchased, via the dragon slayer quest, to the port. if at all possible, let players purchase addition to their ship like cargo space, defensive troops. why cargo space/defensive troops? i suggest the sailing skill involves a bit of farming/fishing skill too. A player could harvest/fish supplies for the townsmen. after they've done that they can set sail their ship to certain ports. this is where defensive troops plays a part. this part of the sailing skill is afkable (each trip for exp has a cooldown/ETA). your ship's defensive capabilities determine how much supplies make it to your destination. you still get exp no matter what but the higher your sailing skill, and the more defensive additions to your ship, the higher the exp you gain due to less supplies looted from nearby port pirates. the majority of sailing exp is from supply runs while sailing to bonus areas give a smaller amount.

at certain levels you can travel to certain island where bonus activities or helpful boons reside. I.E. new farming plots, addition workers for kingdom loot via kingdom expansion/growth (another idea i can work on to go along, each player can expand their kingdom in the same areas. it wont be fighting for the islands) and more quests/bosses.

this new continent has opened up so many possibilities and i'm more than willing to work on ideas and strengthen the sailing skill possibility.

back to RS <3 ^_^

We've been attempting to revive some of the less attractive content with expansions, reworks and new rewards over the past year. In a lot of cases, we've been quite successful and regained some of the interest to those areas. Unfortunately, we've not always succeeded in all the ways we were hoping and that's something we need to further investigate.

We could look into further development in order to appropriately revive those areas or we can look to the continent for a solution. An example would be an idea I had for further 'Sea trawlers' around the continent. Adding more entrance options with the possibility of unique food from each different location might inspire more people to interact and engage with the existing trawler. This will also allow us to plug the level difference between many of the fishing levels and generate a much wider interest in the fishing trawler.

The same can be said for many other examples of less interesting or used content in the game.
