Hello again Mod Reach,

I had previously posted yesterday about my alt being wrongfully banned. I was just wondering where we stood in the process of getting it back or if you could help out. The name is RS c h r i s.

Also, I was wondering how far do our reports go, I know I see many bots throughout the day playing and I try to report as many as I can. And I know for sure that these are bots just by the names and looking up their stats. Do they get banned quicker through more reports or does it not matter?

Thank you Mod Reach, Happy Scaping :)

Thanks for all this, maybe I can finally get my hunting level up again.

On another hand, I've actually seen people use bots as traders, for example bots that buy unid herbs. They often have a message saying that they are buying it, and that if they refuse it's because it's wrong stack. It's stupidly easy to find out they're bots, as you can trade them over and over and just put in troll offers, and they always react the same way, by waiting 10 seconds and then declining.

They're also using autotypers to do this of course, so muting autotypers wouldn't only help clean up the trade worlds for legit players, it would also stop these trade bots.

''Ya because you know for sure that "barely any" of the people claiming to be falsely banned actually were. Did some forum mod tell you that?''

...no, actually I just read what Mod Reach said a few pages back and on the first post of this thread.

Nice try though.

There's this little thing called "lying" which you may have heard of. Jagex obviously wouldn't outright admit to mistakes since it's bad for business. Much like actually trying to stop botting is bad for business.

i think this is a major step forward onto a stable economy and a less botcrowded place to play and re-enjoy this game :) .
but yet again, as i report bots everyday on the same places the whole day through, they seem to keepon playing and avoiding the bans, as they clearly are bots.
hope to see a big improvement :D

Try using your head m8.

It's not like Mod Reach is the sole entity of Jagex altogether and is he representative of all that they have in their arsenal for bot maintenance? NO. You can't say for certainty whether or not it's a lie and you have no reason to assume the worst when there actually has been progress in a few areas.

Check out draynor willows and see how well-cleaned out it is, and check out ardougne market. A few days ago there were 4-8 bots pickpocketing guards with purple shirts and crap, now I see none.

Also two or so days ago I did a linear search of the top 500 craft ranks and found over 100 goldfarmers. He did send the list to the macro team and they did ban almost all of them. I personally saw my rank jump from 481 to 375 last night, so gf?

If most of the theories on the forums/hearsay about Jagex wanting to keep bots for membership money were to be true, then think about this:

They get to keep membership money after they ban a bot. The bot owner will then have to create yet another account AND pay for each new one. This is probably why they won't add any F2P worlds...

Derp.

As someone who had an account banned several years ago for RWT simply because I was a level 3 that merchanted, I know they aren't nearly as accurate as they claim to be when it comes to banning the right people. My appeals were met with automated responses that often didn't match with what I said. I doubt I was the only person ever falsely banned.

Ever think people don't bot draynor willows since they've already reached a point where higher trees are much more profitable?

@ your theory: They obviously don't want to immediately ban every botter as they won't keep rebuying membership if it's no longer profitable for them. Jagex doesn't want them to stop paying.

Seriously, do you think Jagex, and their resources funded by millions of subscribers, are constantly stumped by bot makers? DERP.
