Please try not to name and shame people on the forums! Reporting in game is really still the best way to go :)

I've hidden all the posts (I think) where people have named accounts and I've also double checked all the false ban claims.

Hi Mod Weath and/or other Jagex Mods,

May you please also review my mistakenly banned skiller level 3 on OSRS (I had to make this account in order to voice my innocence).

Runescape username: Lee Thong

I'm max total on EOC and have long quit RS and just returned to play OSRS at the beginning of last week, but was banned after 3 days. I chose to be a level 3 skiller. Aside from training skills, I had completed the Jungle Potion quest, which takes place near the Nature rune altar (bot hotspot) and that is what I suspect led to the banning.

For future instances, how would legitimate players (particularly level 3 skillers due to the low level judgement) avoid being mistakenly banned without the need to go out of harms way in order to reverse the false banning? We just don't want to become victims again.

The account was temporarily banned and I have appealed and emailed the Jagex support emails, but have not received replies as of yet.

I did not nor ever have macroed, auto-typed or auto-clicked.

Hello Mod Weath,

Could you give an update on the status of botwatch and how it will work in conjunction with the bot busting sessions hosted by J-mods?

Also I'd love to see fight cave bots banned. I've seen quite alot of bots (6 or so) in a few minutes on a random world go in and out. This must be the tip of the iceberg as there are problaly alot more inside at any given time.

Keep up the good work and be sure to keep the players informed and up to date, the feeling of being able to help really increasing my enjoyment of the game and I'm sure there are others that feel the same way.

Why sorry, Mod Weath, but reporting never works; if it did, we wouldn't have had to post here :|
(To make myself more clear .. in the last list of bots I've posted, I've left out two names, also bots, also macroing in W 352, Gnome Stronghold, though I've reported them .. while the other bots are gone, at least for now, those not named here are still fine, chopping yews as usual, lol).


Maybe it works if a report comes from a PMod, but how many of us are PMods? .. and how many PMods are actually in 2007? (the only one I've met so far was merching for days in W 1, not even bothering to mute gold sites advertisers .. )

Also, I don't think naming those *sklfdk**fhj*'s here is shaming .. it is a shame to scam, bot, gold farm, hack .. I wouldn't care so much of bots' compromised dignity, but I'd be caring of players who are waiting for years and years to get rid of bots and have a nice game play.

And a question .. if all those bots are banned (true, I haven't seen them in game lately), why are they still in hiscore?? do you ban them only temporarily, when it's so obvious they are BOTS?

Is Auto Talking / Auto Clinking considered as macroing?

back when i quit (07) it wasnt that big of a deal.

r2range, it was every bit as much against the rules 'when you quit (07)' as it is today. You autotalking noobs just managed to overwhelm the system, hence individuals were likely to get away with it, hence why you might think 'it was no big deal' (since you clearly didn't bother to read the rules then, or now).

Auto-clicking is even more blatantly botting as it involves getting xp while you're not playing the game and may be completely AFK whilst gaining magic levels for example. This should be a no-brainer. No one should even have to 'clarify' this for you. It is not allowed.

Play the game. Or leave.
