I wasn't saying people bring anti-fires with them all the time, but if you know your fighting a ranger you can easily just sip one dose and his hits are practically nerfed.
If this new weapon was added any1 could simply bring an anti fire or sip a dose before going to the wildy.
You can't call a weapon over powered when all it takes is for you to drink a potion to nerf it and the guy your fighting won't even know.

People need to realise this. Lets get the Armadyl crossbow and the super antifires to pass and we're golden :P

In my opinion the imbued rings are too much of an advantage , being that you're doubling the bonus. Perhaps a +2 would be more appropriate. I do not see why a mini game which is not played by a large majority of the lower combat community should carry such great rewards.

Jagex please make the arma c bow question into 2 questions, one if people want the arma c bow with the new explanation. The second question if they want the special.

I feel like you purposely chose one of the most OP specs suggested to make sure it doesn't pass. There were tons of more balanced suggestions, one I liked that wouldn't hurt pvm too much and would be decent for pking is just a simple 25% damage increase that takes 50%, that doesn't stack with bolt specs.

For an idea that would give
Addy bolts 44 max no void, 52 with void.
Diamond bolts 45 Max no void, 54 with void.
Rune bolts 48 max no void, 57 with void.
Dragon bolts 48 max no void, 58 with void.

I wish I knew where I could find the poll... Also I am not liking the idea of the Staff of Life getting a 15% damage boost. It makes it literally better than every magic weapon in the game. And makes Ahrim's Staff or the Master Wands competly useless. If you're going to have a staff which is that powerful then give Ahrim's Staff and the Master Wand extra bonuses as well. Some people do use Ahrim's to get the entire set bonus to decrease strength, but it becomes useless if there is something out there that is way more powerful than it. The Armadyl C-bow doesn't seem to be that overpowered, because of the chances that you can hit zeros, but lets take into account if you don't hit zeros. You can insta-kill a lot of things with it. I think using the spec should make it an 85% chance to proc. Just so that there is a chance that it won't activate, and there is room where it doesn't overpower the opponent. Make the percent of the energy that the weapon uses like 55% So that the user has to wait a tiny bit for the rest of the energy. Depending on their opponent they should have two chances in a PvP fight and more during a boss fight.

Interesting dev blog as always, thanks Mod Ash.

Regarding the model of the Staff of Light...

Original message details are unavailable.
We've not yet confirmed what model the weapon will use, nor even the weapon's name. We don't have the model used by the actual Staff of Light, since that wasn't made until long after August 2007. So we'll have to re-use an existing model from the Old School repository.

How about the staff that Necrovarus is holding? I think that one looks pretty good.
