As a solo player who likes PVP thank you for the proposed changes!!! and for staying strong while these sweaty ass singles clans bitch and moan that their unfair way of playing is over. Screw them. If the wildy was fair and you werent scared that 15 people in ancestral are going to log in on you as soon as you kill someone it would be a much more enjoyable place.

Also thank you for not polling these because we all know a lot of crap would be voted no, since this is now a PVM game ( but has a good chance to change to pvp with proposed updates)

I wanted to suggest the possibility of adding another wilderness, like in zeah or the desert or whereever for future updates. just a thought, we keep getting new locations in game and the osrs map has gotten so large but the wilderness basically remains the same.

Also I liked the idea of restricting the wilderness for only select worlds, this would make traffic much more active.

singles plus is cool too but the pj timer and keys are the changes im most excited about.

Great job on this proposal jagex, stay strong, you guys know what you need to do to fix the wild, I can feel it from reading your replies on the osrs update post.

I've been playing since classic in 02 or 03 (since I was a kid). I quit OSRS 2 weeks to a month after the rev cave getting gutted. I want to play the game, but it's been so boring that I literally started playing RS3 again just to max out my account since it was so close before I quit RS3 when OSRS came out. The amount of fun I had pking with various rev and anti-rev clans as well as big groups of homies was immeasurable. Never had so much fun playing any version of Runescape. It was so fun that I can't play the game without it anymore. I was really bad at pking. The rev cave clans took me in, trained me, and I got decent in singles and even better in multi. I met so many cool/chill people and there were many days where I would stay up all night playing, whenever I could. This update looks like it's just going to ruin any bit of multi pking left. Yeah, some high-ranking clan members did rwt, and there were some goldfarmers and quite a few Vennies, but that didn’t encompass the majority. Most people were there because it was maybe the most active spot in RS history, in my opinion. Every world, at all hours of the day, it was poppin’. Most of the high-ranking clan members I knew across various clans didn’t rwt and simply loved big wars and were also fueling their love for staking. It’s basically one giant adrenaline rush. In the time I played after the rev cave got ruined and in Youtube videos I watch, it seems that the goldfarmers and vennies are now overwhelming the rest of the game which is bad for the people who enjoy that part of the game and the OSRS economy. It almost seems like the caves getting ruined forced them to level up their tactics. At least with keeping a lot of them in the wilderness in a confined area, people could kill them, and the pkers could make them waste a lot of time. You can’t really interrupt goldfarming in other parts of the game like you can in PVP areas.

This is why I believe the wilderness should maintain the highest risk/reward for quick money for the benefit of the people who go in the wilderness and the people who don’t. The jabs at singles teams is not in the game’s interest because that’s an attack on how people actually play the game. It’s part of the thrill, honestly. For skull-tricking/luring, I don’t have much to say other than if you somehow manage to be fooled into getting skull-tricked, then you might want to take an IQ test. No offense, especially if you’re a new player, but there’s so many warnings, youtube videos, etc. that inform players about the various tactics they use to do these things. Just don’t fall for it and if you do, then it’s an actual life lesson, not just in-game, to be careful about falling for scams. I think the equipment “re-balancing” is kind of pointless because the alternatives aren’t that much more money and a lot of people prefer the better gear anyways. If a wilderness slayer cave does get implemented, I really hope all to most of it is a multi zone. Also, the changing that if you’re in singles with a bunch of people and there’s someone in multi to not all be able to attack them is really lame. Everyone in clans remembers north rev cave entrance barraging into singles and how funny it was. It wasn’t overpowered because you could just use the correct prayer and run back down. Lastly, a very important thing to keep in mind is the mere fact that it is the WILDERNESS. The wilderness experience must remain dictated by the players who prey and get preyed on. That’s what makes the wilderness the wilderness. Please make the wildy great again before it becomes as dead as RS3 wildy.

One thought im having is, as a pvmer, why am i only considered an "pk" ? Don't get me wrong, i enter wilderness on my own risk. But...

You want to restrict worlds, so i die more often, why would i keep going in? The rewards are so so at best, i could rather do vorkath if i think its too much of a hassle.

You try and "Fix" Wilderness, but you only want to fix it so that i die more often. This npc boxing is great for escaping, now without it i can't escape. Pvp'ers will tell me "Well fight back" as if my pvm gear and my great pvp skills would give me much of a chance.

Closing of entrances, thats a great way of killing wilderness, the middle i can understand but...


No, if you ask me - Try and actually fix wilderness pvp instead of helping the nooby pkers get easier pvm kills.

Why don't you put more time and effort into clan battles? Why don't you make the clan portals keep track of stats and make winners and have some sort of reward for winning in the end, maybe a trip to runefest etc. Actual content pvp'ers wants, not killing pvm'ers.

But i suppose that would require effort from Jagex side.

Clan portal, you enter until death. +1 item/3 items saved - Rest is lost on death, exceptions for untradeables which give coin. All other items are auto alched into coin (yeah, you would need to have certain items turned into alch value so its not abused) then you divide it up to the winning side etc

Battles continue for an hour or 30 min etc, then the one with most kills win and points are awarded. A real clan tour for pvp'ers. Do this instead of harassing us pvm'ers.

I play mainly as a UIM.

We do not get a ton of consideration as we are a small community, however, it should be noted:
Do NOT make anything easier for us UIMs. Please please please.

We choose UIM because it is the "hard mode" we desire.

If you consider UIMs in anything, try to figure out how to make it MORE difficult, or poll us directly. You will get votes from 100% of our community if you poll us directly. I promise, we are that small and tight knit.

This is the spirit of UIM community.

I am, here, going to say how I would upgrade the wilderness to a better place.


As long as I play this game, which is around as long as 16years; I see the wilderness as two parts: Edgeville singles proper non nh'ing and deep wild where there are 'no rules' (nh'ing, clanning,...).
With this said, I think the best option to tackle the dispute around clanning/solo pkers,... is simply to make wildy from lvls 1-20 (western wall till enclave included) singles and the rest multi.
In my opinion, this is space enough to 1v1 fight if you'd prefer to duel in the wild instead of in a pvp world.

A problem that, and we've already seen it with the old rev caves, is that big organised clans are able to lock certain places of interest. To tackle thing I came up with the following:
Periodical events! You might know the RS3 warbands, this concept was amazing IMO. Clans fighting for rescources/XP. Altho I am against the XP reward that came with it. Looting rare resources to build willderness weapons/ammo/gear sounds appealing to me as a clan pvper.
So the idea is to bring such periodical events to certain worlds where multiple clan fights would be created because of it.
Long story short:
- Camps for clans to plunder and loot --> Brings clan fights and end-game or wildy gear to the game.


So, what we can conclude out of this, is that in the wilderness, simply a reason is needed to come to the wild (deep wild) and to fight for. Not only to 1v1, there are already enough places to do (pvp world, clan wars portals, edgevillle wild).
This leads us to another idea I had in mind for a long time. --> next post

Very deep wild:
Don't you think elite end-game content should be in the wild. To 'finish' the game you need to be an allround 'scaper.
This is why there is very deep wild, a snowy landscape where 1hp damage is done every minute, run drains faster while running. Entering this zone automatically makes you skulled while being in this area. Uber rare resources are to collect here and uber rare monsters to slay which drop rare skins, claws to craft the strongest weapons/armour for wildy purposes or just end-game purposes.
These events that occure are also periodically in order to combat clans that lock these places.

In short:
- Caves with monsters to slay for big loots/ loot chest after slayed monster.
- Rare trees/herbs/rocks/fish/hunter animals/... that deplete for a long time.
- Very strong pker-like npc's that roam these area's.
- ...
