I have a suggestion that might solve the current blow pipe issue when it comes to these variables
and consideration of the nerf:
1.) Blow pipe is low requirement to use and easily accessible
2.) Blowpipe is very cheap to use for the damage that it does
3.) These variables combined have caused mayhem between Jagex and the Players.
My Solution
. The darts do not need buffed nor do they need nerfed. The blowpipe can keep the +10% attack speed versus monsters. Blowpipe can no longer be used in wilderness areas. This will make it so that players with access to the weapon can not 1 item safe it when killing things such as revenants in the wild. Ranged strength will be decreased by -15
from 40 to 25
, ranged attack will be cut by 50%
(-30(from 60 to 30)
.
My Idea:
A new "attachment" item can be obtained. This "attachment" type mechanism can be used
on the blowpipe to engineer it to use knives along with an improved +30 ranged attack
(which would restore it to the blowpipes original +60 ranged attack bonus & a proposed Ranged level equivalent to the Twisted bow. The
ranged strength does not need improved
as knives already offer a bonus in ranged strength over darts. The use of knives is far more expensive and not idea to train. This "attachment" could be a tradeable item that is very rare causing it not to be as cheap. Another idea is that the "attachment" could be obtained only upon completing of an Inferno. (This would make players rebeat inferno, causing those that paid for cape to suffer at a loss from inexperience.)
To be clear. The new Blowpipe with attachment would use knives, NOT DARTS.
Thank you for your time.

One other thing.. Pking is dying. You moved most pk rewards to Last Man Standing where teams of friends can swarm it leaving solo players left to easily be teamed in the end. Revive the pk worlds! PvP worlds are a joke and always have been used for rushing alone.

Enough. Just drop the rebalance crap. It's been almost 3 YEARS since we've had real content.
Boo hoo, how dare devs focusing on the stability of the game rather than adding more bloated content to the game while the balancing is horrible as hell. Jesus, you people are never happy with anything. Years ago you were complaining about too much content, now it's complaining about lack thereof. Can you like, grow up? Furthermore, you should be aware that this is OSRS. This isn't the main game, it never was. It only exists, because of nostalgia. In fact, its intention never even was to be the main product line of Jagex. It's a side-project, separate from the main Jagex team that works on RS3. Playing this old game is
not
a right, it's a
privilege
.
The rebalance is the first and very needed step in OSRS, in order to make this game more enjoyable and stable besides fixing bugs/glitches/etc or adding more content. It was about really damn time the devs finally started doing something against the ridiculous stats and way too low requirements for some way too strong weapons. The Toxic Pipe is too OP, period. You can keep up that dismissive tone as much as you want, but there were actually statistics provided that show that the toxic pipe is too OP. The facts literally debunk your claims.

A blowpipe is fine as it is.
Dude, it fricking isn't. Did you even see the stats? It's not fine AT ALL.

Seriously. This is ridiculous. Just bring out some content, please.
No, what's ridiculous is the fact that people like you just care about "muh content" while the game is ragged as heck. Content isn't everything. A developer also has to set his/her priorities on working on ensuring that the game is stable and fair. Working on a MMORPG project must be a very unthankful job for mods, the community proves it time over time.

Also, power creep is fine if you're bringing out fresh content that's continually becoming more challenging. Of course, we're limited to 99hps as players so you just need not make things overpowered for the PvP crowd.
Last, but not least, take the time and watch this video about why power creep is
NOT
fine (by Extra Credits):

This is actually basic game design understanding.

I think that the updates that are being implemented are going to help the game for the future, it'll be a nice and welcomed change by myself that's for sure, keeps the game fresh, I however would like to one day see a "Toggle HD" option if that is even possible, having it as a toggle option means if players only want to see the oldschool graphics they are more than welcome too, but it also gives other players that option to have the HD graphical update to the game if wanted, and for someone like myself that loves old school runescape I would like the option for both, without wanting to log into RS3 just for HD opportunities.
I love old school Runescape, and have loved Runescape since the start or RS2, and I am looking forward to seeing what the Developers have in store for us next for new content and changes
.
Keep up the great work all at Jagex
.
Kind Regards,
Iceade.

Hi, I do not support them constantly changes things with-in the game period, what-so-ever. This is a big red flag in terms of inexperienced planning and development by Jagex and shows how little they try to test these things before actually releasing them. I have played since 2005. I have watched Jagex manipulate the crowds, and lie to all of us about what really happened with the programming during EOC and how that was actually passed when they said it reached the requirement yet they lost 70% of the active player base which forced them release OsRs shortly after receiving a reward they tried so hard to get over Blizzard at the sacrifice of the players. The point is they have done us dirty and continuously BLOAT content as usual because part of all of the mechanics come from Rs3 and even a lot of the gear is very relatable which is something they promised not to do to us.
It is pure laziness
. I am here because this game alone, literally, has very unique mechanisms compared to other games. Combat is just a simple one. I mean use your head, do you not think they have thought about all of this before hand? If they would stop being lazy and go through the proper procedures, they would not need to be over loading the game and re-tweeking things, especially when there is so much now. I'll stop talking before I catch a mute.

Twisted bow nerf? Embarrassingly, not nerfed hard enough.
Original message details are unavailable.
If we want to introduce a new boss that is not susceptible to the Twisted Bow, it's simply a case of us ensuring it has a lower Magic level or reduced Magic accuracy stats.
Yeah but we know you won't do this. You allowed it to be used in mage arena 2.. on enemies otherwise only susceptible to specific spells. Or was that mod's wildy bait?
Dragonhide armor changes? Unnecessary.
Dinh's nerfs? For fuck's sake, Justiciar doesn't work in wilderness, Dinh's effect doesn't work in wilderness. Why introduce content that doesn't function in different parts of the game? The wilderness meta is already 100% based on burst damage, and anything that challenges this meta is nerfed to the ground. We get it, you hate defensive playstyles. Just bar these items from the wilderness entirely instead of butchering their stats nonstop. You can keep whatever warped vision of the wilderness you have, just stop having it impact the rest of the game.
Low level armor changes? Not every item needs a niche use. Low level armors are just that, low level. Rigidly enforcing the combat triangle by increasing the negative bonuses on heavy melee armors isn't what the game needs. Meanwhile, the negligible penalties on lighter armors mean the change is unnecessary. Square shields are the only ones that make sense.. and we already have dragonhide shields, so there isn't really a point. Either way, it should be polled and not forced.
Mace/ spear / hasta weapon speed
Not everything needs to be scimitar attack speed.
Warhammer requirement change:
Why are you catering to pures by changing the requirement to strength? I'd rather see a new maul weapon type than change warhammers like this, not to mention people that levelled attack for the sake of dragon warhammer. Funny, an attempt to cater to pures hurts some of them.
