PLEASE stop trying to bring aspects of RS3 into OSRS. I quick RS3 8 years ago because of how silly the game became to me -- a barrage of new content after content that it is now unrecognizable from what it once was. No offense to those that still play it. But I wasted so much time building my RS3 account. I just joined back last summer and I LOVE the way the game is now. I hate to see RS3 ideas creeping in.

If you want to make changes, focus fixing bugs and fighting scammers/bots. Or how about work to revive dead content like Fight pits? Or better marketing for the game? Or having our own website/forum? There is no point is trying to create new content for the sake of creating new content. That's what happened to RS3 and look where it is now.

Nostalgia is what's keeping me here.

When OSRS and RS3 split the reasons were not only due to the differences in combat.

We were losing many players that had worked hard to earn their levels that thought that things like the shooting star and other quick level shortcuts devalued the hard work that others had done. All of a sudden people could use these quick level shortcuts to climb to the top of the highscore lists without having earned their levels in the same way.

I am concerned that adding the shooting star back will be a return to this "easy way out" type of thinking, and result in a loss of players.

Right now OSRS has a strong membership base. We do not want it's membership declining like RS3 experienced. Please do not vote for this or other quick levelling choices that will make OSRS into a clone of RS3. Granora

I am glad you are offering more options, having something new and exciting is what pulls me in to play and try something new.

I genuinely wish the rewards were a little bit more exciting tho

trade in star dust for the following suggestions;

A cape with flickering stars reflecting the consolation

star boots which make the weight of the burden you carry significantly lighter an upgrade on previous boots with similar qualities.

prospect helmet upgrade with a star in the light instead of a light/lamp.

A pet from the stars that comes out the rocks when mining for a lucky few

So many people complaining about new content, I played RuneScape back 15 years ago maxed out my stats etc, only just restarted.

part of the joy of RuneScape back in the day was new content coming out. its ridiculous to try freeze the game in the past when part of its DNA was adding more content. As long as its still utilising majority of aspects of old school new content isn't making it far to easy to upgrade skills. its brining in more spice to the game and stuff to do.

so many nay sayers in forums and its disjointing. part of life is change and accepting it, its not like they are forcing us to implement rs3 fighting system

I'd like to make a suggestion for the Prospector Outfit reward. Instead of one bland prospector outfit trimmed in gold, there should be tiers of prospector armor (perhaps a maximum of three) that reflect the miner's level.

Prospector Outfit Reward 1:
As proposed, a gold trimmed outfit

Prospector Outfit Reward 2:
Mining Level of 85 required, ability to trim your prospector outfit with any mine-able ore with a payment of 1000 ores representing the desired trim color. For example, if I wanted to trim my prospector outfit in adamant, I would have to offer 1000 adamant ores to Prospector Pete

Prospector Outfit Reward 3: Those with 99 mining should be able to fully clad their Prospector armor with the color of any ore as well as any mine-able gem with payment of 1000 ores/gem representing the desired clad color.
