Not really a fan of this idea:
- there is
just no need for this
: the bosses exist, and the players can challenge themselves and each other already
- too much clutter: since the release of OSRS so much new content has been added already, and now the game has so much clutter that it's becoming just like RS3: the game we didn't want
- easyscape: more and more buffs in drop rates and making everything faster and easier. RS was always a game of grinding, why are we changing this?
- wrong focus: when adding new content to this game, you should be looking for longevity; this is nothing, it isn't real content.
Although a lot of time and work has clearly gone into this, it is just another idea in the same line of updates that have been plaguing OSRS almost since it's beginning. It seems as if there is no-one looking at the bigger picture. To explain: some examples. Look at Barrows: the first step up to high-end gear. Any account will eventually go to Barrows to get their first good gear after Rune, it will always be used. Look at GWD: that update added a whole new tier to equipment, and has some of the highest level items that exist, and will forever be played.
Then compare it with OSRS updates: for example Kourend. Look at the map or walk around it, and be honest: it looks disgusting. It's design is pathetic: "4 families and every one has their own element", which 6-year old thought of this? And there is almost no content in it! So many huge buildings, used for nothing! Someone explain who decided this, created it?! And then the content they do add is done in such a sloppy way: "oh you want to craft the highest quality runes? here you can get both for free, no quest required!". Who are you who decided this, and please explain?? Even RS3 did better, adding blood rune-crafting into an existing region, in an existing quest-series and making it fit totally seamless.
But the community is the problem
: everyone just votes YES without even reading or thinking.
