Overall, this sounds pretty cool. I only have 2 major points:

-Xp rates need to be calculated carefully. Definitely significantly lower. Perhaps MAX of 50k/75k/100k/125k for reg/oak/teak/mahog contracts. [RS wiki says you can hit 550k/hr with dungeon doors but even with relative sharp focus I'll be lucky to pull off 300k in an hour--125k for mahogany contracts would be less than half of that.]

-Rework some rewards:
--Carpenters outfit
Every other 2.5% outfit is for a skill where you need to use tick manipulation to pass 100k/hr. Doesn't really make sense here and as a person who likes collecting outfits I would be bummed to use points on it.
--Equippable Saw
As long as there is no boost allowed. This will become part of the meta, so you need to make it available from low level contracts.
--Plank sack
Ok, I guess. Can't be more than 25-28 planks of 1 kind though. I could see them becoming overpowered and completely replace butlers completely for low level players, so I'd suggest some sort of decay feature that costs additional points to recharge.

Lastly, I really feel like there's become so much focus on providing content that ironmen can specifically enjoy, while a lot of dead/dying content is left behind. Construction has already been overhauled and we have a lot to keep track of as is, and I don't think, that if this passes, it will need another update for a LONG time. And I say this with construction being my favorite skill!
Please update other skills that have only had a couple small updates in the past 6 years!

i like the concept but if exp is shit no point

The whole point is to give us a better way to train you dont have to give us shit exp everytime

its not rocket science sitting there clicking a larder for hours is bs, make it a more fun way with compatible rates.

Im not talking mahog tables but at least oak larders

also you saying constructive atm is click intensive is not the same.

Its the easiest thing and highest exp going, This is click intensive running round doing a load of shit for less exp??

lol come on

Although the outfit is nice just for an outfit. Plank sacks good but make it more 48*

Great idea! Since you are working on the Construction skill to rework it, I feel free to add a suggestion.

Rework fences : they are currently not doing what they have to do (fencing things in). They also stand in the way of "walking lines" within your POH.

My suggestion is to add more options for customizing your fences:
- closing from the outside (Just imagine your Zuk pet runs away!)
- open on the inside

I tried to visualize this with this image:

(Close the
red zones

Open the
green zones
)

i think that this construction update is actually a pretty damn good idea. i like the idea of the cosmetic set boost, i love the hand held saw, will it have any stats or just strictly for construction just to save a inv spot. and what kind of points would everything cost. i dont believe they should cost an exorbitant amount like graceful just because lower level con as well as high tier con takes alot of money and time. i also like that like you said in the post it isn't just like doing oak larders you actually do work. being a previous construction worker IRL i think this would be a great addition to the skill. i DO HOWEVER think the reward system should be "cheaper" than some of the other set boosting items just so us med lvl players and some low level players can get it without killing ourselves or our wrists for a week like we had to do for graceful. all and all im totally down for this update just want some more info. when would the poll or any more info about it be coming out? thanks for your time and hope you read this and respond even though i know its all still in the works,

You should make contracts be rare drops from killing monsters and treasure clues and not something you can do all day over and over again.

Then you could increase the XP of each drop and people could train construction casually.

Creating another method of non stop training isn't really what is needed.

Bird Houses for example are amazing for Hunter but they are to overpowered.

Something closer to farming in general would be better. And I love farming contracts but I don't think that tempo would be good for construction. A rare drop would be better.

Or you could make it a rare drop while leveling construction. Say you build an oak larder you have a 1/128 chance of getting a construction contract. That is another option.

Glad to see a new method of training construction instead of building and destroying the same thing 10000 times. I'm also excited about the new skilling outfit!

Suggestions:
-More wall kit designs as rewards.
-Allow the equippable saw to be used with the crystal saw to create an equippable crystal saw.
