I just can't get excited about another pvp update. Where is the improved trade update we were promised months ago? I know it's hard to imagine doing an update that would benefit anyone but a pker, but I am not a pker, and do not care about more wildy updates.

Just another pointless, dead content like the wildy bosses.


You patched the safespots on bosses which made it active cause small teams would kill the people safespotting which then had larger teams come kill them, now it is dead again.

I honestly believe you don't want this game to thrive like it once did. The only thing this is good for is that it pinpoints if someone is in the wilderness... but what is the point in killing them for nothing if there is no reward.

Maybe add an armour called "wilderness armour" which turns to dust if you die or after a certain amount of use.

Maybe you can buy it for the points you get for killing your targets?

One thing, back it the day, it was always a mysterious feeling you got world hopping in the wilderness. You never knew what you would find. I believe that if you implement this target system on every world, it will take away the seach and destroy factor that most or at least some of us strive for.

Also back in my day we dident PvP for Profit, we risked banks for honorable deaths.
Then again, a true pker had well beyond the nessary supplies to do his hunting with.
With what little honor is left in the wild, please do not destroy it completely by adding this target system to all world.

I do love this though, i will vote for it, but not all worlds. Thank you for reading!

You need to add some kind of rare reward. You know that people will only grind something for rewards, and if there isn't one, it will vane in popularity very quickly.

The cosmetic reward sounds like a very good idea, but it has to look amazing if that's going to be the only reward, because if it doesn't then it's not worth the time.

Perhaps add some new pk themed emotes that are unlocked when wearing the costume.

What is the actual point of the wilderness anyway? The only reason I go into the wilderness is for clues and the occasional spot of abyss runecrafting.

We've just had a reasonably big update in the wilderness, i.e. the bosses, let's move on to other areas of the game now!

it looks like they don't care about pkers, and the main reason (old school) got put into the game is because of pking and old combat system also what happened to power to the players???

OK, here's my opinion: bounty hunter is a brilliant idea but if there is literally nothing but an arrow telling you where somebody is, then isn't that just a bit pointless? Now, I have been playing RS on and off for the past 7 years or so, and I started pking (not to the extent that i would call myself a pker - but enough to experience it) back in 2007 before the wilderness was removed - so i have experienced all the "eras" per say.
So i'm going to make my argument as un biased as possible. First off I would like to say "bonus" loot would in theory be a nice idea, but remember, back when we had the "ep" etc, items dropped were deleted from the game. So it balanced out the wealth gained from the statues, however remember the complaints like "killed somebody for bank - got salmon" (later on this inflation increasing the gp value of most items - weather this was good or bad I'm not really sure)
Next I want to point out that "devaluing" skills isn't a good argument to say there should be no rewards - if you train a skill for money you will know that most dont offer more than 300-500k hourly at the max level - take hunter for example (i am currently 98) i have been hunting black chinchompas and make on average 450-600k per hour, however there are methods of gaining upwards of 700k per hour that require NO skills (providing you do the research to find such methods and im not talking about merchanting!)
My suggestion would be to create a system (i don't know how easy this would be to do its just the idea) similar to the bounty hunter "skulls" in 2008, they displayed the carried wealth of the player, if there was an indication of risk or even a system to asign targets that risk similar the same as you, that might be allot more sought after. Well thats my big idea, still technically not game changing since its basically an informational system - what im assuming the system would be without the extra incentive, however it would serve a purpose!

Also to those that are complaiing about soloing bosses in the wild. When you make that choice to solo in the wild, that is the risk that is involved.
Also this is what you get for being dishonorable.
Back in my dad if WE saw a solo guy taking on a boss monster we would sit back and watch. if he died we would loot him. if he succeded we would demand a tribute and not kill him. We at least gave him a CHOICE since he took the choice of soloing a boss in the wild.
So the lesson here is, act like an *******, get treated like an *******!

Oh and as the reward thing goes to number of bounty hunter kills. Thank you for taking into consideration my idea and others. Just remember that realy all we need is a cape. kinda like the castle wars capes. Also i like the idea of a cape for reaching a c*tin number of kill, but i think it would be more legit if you could only get a cape for achieveing and holding a paticular rank or above.

EX. rank 10k+ basic cape, 1k+complex cape, 100+ Fancy Cape, 10+l337 Cape, 1 legit cape.

You can take the preexisting legends cape and make bounty hunter have legends quest as a requirement, then you legends cape get a graphifx change every time you rank changes.

Just food for thought.
