I've been apart of clans since 2005 and this is my input on the Wilderness Tag system you suggested .




1.)
Must be risking at least 50-100k not considering your +1 item to be able to tag/active a pole.


2.)
Limit it to 1-2 worlds to actually get the wilderness active. Right now there are 63 worlds making it hard to find any action by randomly pking.


3.)
Add a combat level or total level floor (40-50 combat/300 total level). This would limit the abuse of level 3's tagging the mid/low level poles with no risk involved.


4.)
Less poles than shown on the map schematic with a large increase for tagging higher level poles. I think you should limit poles to mostly high wilderness (20+) to downsize the amount of abuse of the system. This also makes it more dangerous, allowing for higher rewards.


5.)
If you teleport you lose 25% of your tokens. If you teleport while under attack you lose 60% of your tokens.


6.)
Higher amount of tokens for multi poles (25-50% more depending on the level). It's not hard to tag the ones you highlighted in single near Magebank if you go up in full tank with 15 brews.


7.)
Make the gold/xp rewards something at least on par or above the best PvM/skilling money making methods (apart from 2x runecrafting). There will still be no motivation to enter the wilderness for the majority of skillers if they feel there are better/safer money making/training methods. There is no incentive to get tokens if they could get better, safer xp doing it the traditional way.

I feel this next point could be something that could make F2P world activity skyrocket. This is based on the EP system that was used in PvP/Bounty Hunter worlds a couple of years ago.


1.) Add one pole on F2P worlds at members gate or in the center of GDS or both.
2.) Make this the only pole(s) on the F2P world.
3.) Change this pole so that the longer you stand near it the more tokens you get, sort of like gaining EP.
4.) The tokens per hour doing this should be slightly (80% as fast) lower then running around tagging different posts on P2P worlds. For example, you should get more tokens every 5 minutes while standing near the pole with hourly xp rates adding to 40-70k if used on skills or ~400-500k if used on GP (remember, you could easily make 1mill an hour by 76k'ing).
5.) This is basically a version of EPing where it isn't possible to stand right beside a safe area as soon as a pker is in sight. It gives F2P clans a reason to camp the wilderness outside of fights. It basically gives an incentive for the whole clan to go out and secure an area. It would be the clan version of rune mining.
6.) This also severally limits the abuse on the system being suited to group pking in general making it almost impossible to go alone. This provides an incentive for random players outside of the clan world wanting to get free xp to join clans.

Thoughts/suggestions?

Would love to see Clan Wars added to 07. Team clan warring was so much fun Pre-EoC.

GwD would be nice aswell.

Also its just a small suggestion but i would like Xp Remaining for our skills to make it a bit more easier to see our xp left to level. Also as in Rs3, we have Xp button that tracks our xp in overall xp, or any skill we chose, and also tells us how much xp we are gaining. I would like that to be added aswell.

Mabye Rs07 could be our perfect Rs, with great updates added.

As everyone can see, everybody hope the game you had before EOC will come back.... my guess will be after 1-2 years the game will be exactly the same as it was right before EOC, general store etc...or the game will be shott down becase of the few players playing this game after a year. so therefor why not just bring a poll about brining the game as it was before eoc and general store etc.. with a few changes, like take away GE or something else like a skill or something that needed to be changed/fixed.

this are probbably never gonna happened anyway so i guess i just vote for GWD.

what was wrong before EOC???you Jmods got greedy ofc. you wanted more money and look what happened you went from 120k+++ players a day from 10k+ in oldschool and 50k+ player on Eoc,Runescape 3.

if you wanted more player why didnt you just talked to the comunity or used some money to addvertise better.... in my hole life i have never seen any addvertising of Runescape...thats might be why you dont get more player into the game...

this generation we going into today are a generationg that even a 6 years old boy/girl know how to use an ipod, pc, iphone and etc.. and you should just been better to advertise...if you really wanted more players...
innsted of this you are compleetly changing the game :(

my point is listen to the comunity and hear them...
i gusess you can just crate a new user and talk to the first player you see and ask: Do you miss runescape as it were before Eoc?
try... you will figger out the answer if you didn't new allreddy.

@ a end. First of all I hope English is not your native tongue. Secondly, JMods didn't get "greedy" rather they tried to make money and bring in new players by releasing what was supposed to be a better game. It's not like Jagex never tried to make money before EoC, and them trying to make money is not a problem. I do agree however that EoC/RS3 can be safely classified as failures in terms of improving the game i.e. bringing in new/keeping old players.

well if they did not got gredy as you said why did the release like squeel of fortune that made you buy money on runescape?

i think i heared the reason for rekeasing eoc was they thoight they were losing players=? they checked it on google to see how many have googled runescape and pressed the link or something. buy i dont think they relized you could download a client...

and the released the beta of Eoc like 5 moths or so to see what feedback they got and i think only like 10 % or even some more players liked the game...so they should listen to the comunity anf not the money...

and we even dont have the ability to write suggssution to polls...

Remember never overpower a training method as people who play for the difficult lving and xp challenge will more likely quit if improved xp training methods are released into the game im just letting you guys know that. So wildy tags it should rather be another way to train combat rather then a top xp replacement as if it were to replace current combat training for best xp rates it would devalue those who play old school for the challenge of lving and anyways you needa remember this is old school you gotta be more careful. Not just that but adding improved xp rates in "OLD SCHOOL" is a serious crime for those of us who play for the lving challenge and which improved rates would force us out of the game.

As for PvP Worlds, its called PvP (Player Versus Player) Worlds for a reason. So There should be no xp buffs what so ever that would ruin and destroy it for us legit players making it feel like we were cheated over others. Not just that but smart people wouldn't wear anything expensive on them.. so its not risk reward. The boosting xp has nothing to do with PvP. Player versus player has nothing to do with how much xp you can get over others its who can get the kill over the other.. who is the more skilled Pker?
