Thanks for your answer. Why did it not have the negative stats from the off if it was always intended to be so?

What or who has gained from the nerf? It seems to me that the +0 stats encouraged more skilling in the pker community and more variety in pvp situations. The wilderness is already full of people ranging and spamming their g maul. I thought the update, while far from having the dps of dragon knives, added a little more option to low level pking.

I cannot see who has benefitted from the nerf but can see that it has negatively affected me and other similar pkers. For this reason it seems to many to be a negative and prohibitive update. One which can be easily fixed with no downside. Does it affect you so much for the fish to have +0 stats?

You keep saying variety but honestly it didnt. You would have had your fun smacking people with it a few times and been done with it since you arent going to kill anyone in a fair fight anyway. Almost no pker is actually going to grind hours for a fish to have fun with for maybe an hour and never touch again. Its not really a big deal. It was meant to be a fun weapon and the stats got overlooked so they changed it.

You would have spent more time obtaining it then using it honestly. Variety meens having actual choices for KO potential. You could accomplish the same with bronze weapons.

So Obby maulers need to stay below a certain range level, around 67 at 99 strength. This means they need to get good at using melee setup weapons. Previously the best was the rpg due to its fast hit. The tench became the new best as it was a one handed rpg, meaning one could wear their zammy book for accuracy with it. The tench wasn't used for KOing; it became the new best weapon for setting up the obby maul hit with melee.

I hope this clears up the use. I had already spent more time pking with it than the 8 hours getting it when this update came in.

Regardless at the end of the day it was polled as a fun weapon which clearly got overlooked which is why they changed its stats. If you want it to be a viable weapon there needs to be enough people that want it to be so and then would require a poll. The nerf didn't need a poll because a fun weapon is what was originally polled. Fun weapons always have negative stats, but again was overlooked and corrected.

I know it may seem stupid but its what they offered and we agreed to but not what was delivered. To change it it must pass a poll and will probably only be polled if enough people are requesting it.

I'm afraid to say that you're again mistaken. To quote directly from the original Kebos Lowlands poll 10 October 2018:

"Poll Question #41
If Aeiral Fishing is added to the game, should there be a chance to get the extremely rare 'Golden Tench'. This is a fish that can be equipped in the hand and has no stats. It is not tradeable."

The poll said it had no stats, not negative stats, and nothing of it having to be classed as a fun weapon. I again ask who is gaining from this nerf? It is negatively affecting a small and already rather limited group of pkers and, as you can see, goes against the original poll question people voted for.

Hi there awesome community!

Can anyone tell me why they updated the boots of brimstone to a cool looking "boot" and they did not do this to the regular boots of stone. They still seem to look like an ugly sock. I think and seriously hope they do a fix on these boots too...

Anyone else who shares this opinion with me?
