I have been at the Revenant caves since release of the update and have racked up about 26k KC. Being pretty active in the caves since the release, I do have some things to say.

On first release, it was said that killing revs would generate around 2m/hr. This was clearly not true, as many people noticed right away thus prompting the buff of the caves in the first place.

I feel like once they were buffed, it achieved exactly what Jagex was going for in the first place. A high risk, high reward money-making method that Rejuvenated the wilderness. It gave people a reason to go their and risk what they've earned, and gave pkers a reason to stick around the caves. It absolutely achieved its goal in making the wilderness more active.

Now this recent nerf. I think this is going to dry out the caves by a substantial amount, both PvMers and Pkers. I think one step has been taken forward with the initial buff, and now two steps have been taken back. Not to mention how sloppy it is to release a buff, then almost immediately after go back on it.

Some main concerns:

1. Create a poll, not a hot-fix.
2. The worlds were hugely populated by cannons, but the update was still less than 2 weeks fresh. There would have been a natural decline. maybe not by a crazy amount, but players should be able to drop a cannon wherever they wish.
3. The sheer amount of nerfing being done in single updates can be update-destroying. It's extremely sloppy to release something and almost right away, retract. It's understandable that things need to be tested and given feedback, but when huge nerfs and impediments like banning cannons are introduced after a buff, it is extremely demoralizing. I think if the tables are going to be nerfed, at least allow for cannons to get faster kills. It's like 2 big hits in one update.


All in all, I think this update is taking it a little to far in the wrong direction. I'm really disappointed.

Ive never seen the wildy so alive! It was a brilliant update that brought PVMer's and pkers into the same room for different reasons......and then they make this ridiculous update...!!! ive been living at revs for the last few weeks. 94 range with rigour and dragon darts and im making around 1.5m-2m per hour.

This is now dead content. Bunch of absolute amateurs at Jagex who are more focused these days on how to get more players buying bonds than they are on content...the beginning of the end for me. Sack the idiots who hot fixed this. I came back to runescape for oldschool after the idiots brought in End Of Combat. Now it seems either the same idiots are involved with oldschool or atleast being governed by the same f wits!

You have made the drops way too low. Now people are not going to want to kill revs and I doubt many pkers will be interested. It feels like it is 50% less drops per person. I will make way more at Vorkath. Please update the drops again. Thanks.

i returned to osrs today after watching various youtubers at revs , i pay the 9EU and find out its nerfed , not a little , but to the point where its under 1m p/h , i have already lost all my sets to huge teams so after 9h back into OSRS i will be leaving again , not worth the grind and pvp was always my favourite content.

This place needs to be the best money in the game , it was the one update youve done that bought so much action to the wilderness , it was worth the risk because of the drops , now its not. I predict this content will be dead , along with pking again shortly.

This was Amazing content.

It Gave p2p pkers a great place to congregate & work together & earn while pking. Since you have already spread pkers so thin in all the different many modes & worlds.

Okay the 1.4m-2m hr is a bit much
. But at that rate it would still take
500+ hours
to earn a twisted bow. That would be 500+ hours of Pvm, If you don't get Pked.

I do believe the Coins/Hour should be slightly reduced. But it still needs to be profitable since it is a wilderness activity.

THANK YOU for doing this, so much. It was absolutely absurd to see people with NO requirements nearly, getting absolutely great loot in comparison to some of the more difficult-requirement stricken bosses or activities we have in the game.

For the benefit of the economy and game, THANK YOU. Don't cater to people who want babyscape please.

It seems pretty bad in comparison to what it was, it seems like 2times worse than it used to be, could you re-adjust it and improve the drop rate or the worth of the drops so it would get an increase by 50%. This is something that should make the caves still alive, and yet not make them that profitable as some people were complaining about.

Rev caves should be a bare minimum of 1m (STABLE) in order for people to go there.

Okay, so I tested these after the nerf in the south spot with the dark beast and the ork. I was almost alone the entire time, sometimes with another guy. We were both maxed with elder mauls and in 28 minutes I got 960k worth of loot. One thing I noticed aside from the reduced # of items you get is how often you get coins compared to the previous drop table.

Which is about 2m/hr... Except I only got to 28 minutes rather than an hour like I wanted too because I got rushed by a clan and had to tele out.

The current drop table is fine as long as you're:

1) Maxed
2) Have the best or close to best gear possible (I was using B ring (i), d boots, bracelet, and dwarven helmet)
3) If it wasn't level 30+ wildy and multi

IMO either the amount of times you don't get an item and just get like 20 coins needs to be reduced or their location needs to be revised. Either not in multi or not above 30 wilderness.

The biggest problem to me is not the reduction in drops from say 30 onyx bolt tips to just 6 but rather how often you don't get a drop at all and just get coins even from the higher level revs.

Sometimes I spend as long as it takes to kill Zulrah soloing the Revenant Dark Beast because he keeps healing and then I just get a few coins and sometimes that happens a few times in a row. While Zulrah has a 100% chance to give you decent loot and a 0% chance to get you killed and tbed.
