The update for the cannons was a necessary one in my opinion. However, the droptable update is not good. You should have balanced it, in the beginning indeed it was too much money. But afterwards the cave was packed with players trying to get kills in best gear, which made it attractive to PKERS. There were a lot of pkers, and got some PVP content back.

After a week, revs were packed with people trying to get BIS gear so the kills you could get at revenants significantly dropped. Also, with the pkers you couldn't get the rates which you could have in the beginning.

The drops are not attractive, it is called balancing. Not nerfing it back to completely nothing, get it up to 3-4M GP per hour, and it will be proper again. If you kill revs you should get extra due to the wilderness risk. Also due to the multizone, which is nice for pkers.

Keep the cannons away though. For the rest the rates are far off as it should be.

Right...

i think we should repoll for pvp armours. maybe only corrupt. maybe slightly nerfed.

Something being 2-3m/hr is allright. but why does everything in the game have to be consistent money. when everything drops in the form of resources because they have stable alch value people will Always choose the easiest/safest way. there is Always zulrah.. or vorki.. etc. PVP armour will bring a specific reason into the game to go the rev cave. thus it will not be dead content.

all these consistent drops feel plastic... when theres drops like pvp armours, there are going to be some jackpot items, which will give you that authentic. YES A DROP! feeling.. these alchables dont..

at the same time PVP armour will be a money SINK instead of another farm. This would spare soooo much trouble..

glad to see others as mad about this as I am....

This is my 2nd post ever on the forums. That's how mad I am. To actually take my time to complain about something... means you might have messed up something that made the game fun... Good job guys

Kudos jagex.. for taking that bull by the horns and showing a bit of integrity in the process.

You can't please everybody, but you can certainly protect the integrity of the game (as today's 'hotfix' demonstrates perfectly).

Speaking as a pvp'er, we would like to have a place where there is a lot of reward against a lot of risk. I am only level 70, which made it extremely difficult to get a lot of loot in these caves, due to constant danger of higher levels.
Speaking as a pvm'er, it was such a good position speaking in high-risk high-reward terms. The high risk from pkers makes this place so much more fun to train in than the conventional places.

I completely agree that the amount of resources was quite high in this environment. However, the amount of coins entering the game is not too ridiculous.
In a way you can overcome this: making braces not completely immune to hits and increase the chance of ignoring immunity with combat. In a way: Immunity = 0,92 - (combat level ^1.5/2000).
In addition you could overcome this resources matter by adding coins or additional (low value) statues to the drop table.

The current decrease in drops will result in "dead content". Pking teams do not necessarily feel the urge to fight here as the current scenario is high-risk low-reward , as reward has been taken away mostly. I think updating the droptable with additional coin drops (always lost upon death), additional items (lost upon death), and a small hit-chance that increases with combat would result in the revival of this content rather than just letting it bleed out with this update.
Feel free to message me in game for questions or opinions.

Good update. Revs were far too op, was no reason to do anything else, was killing the economy.

I'd prefer dead content over op content. And honestly it wasnt a good pvp spot anyway, it was just a massive team zerg fest.

I strongly urge you to reconsider this move

Rev caves were so dynamic , wild and unpredictable.

They actually required concentration and were extra-ordinarily entertaining.

The high risk of the wilderness more than justifies it having the highest rewards.

Please return the level of activity of caves to their pre-nerf levels.

High risks entails high rewards.

your literally incapable of common sense thinking.. you just made revs worse than they initially were. you come out with an update because revs " aren't good enough" on your own thinking. and now you nerf them back.. being worse than they ever were. why diddnt you just keep the drop table and remove cannon? or nerf the drops just a little bit? pathetic. shit like this makes you lose players. why don't you poll us some new drops for revs anyways? some drops that isn't all alchables. you polled 1 set of items one time and gave up on it. you could fuck up a wet dream.

Okay Dev team. I understand you're not in a very good position with two separate parts of the community always bashing you with whatever move you guys make, but the pvp community is extremely frustrated. Any type of update to the wilderness seems to always get nerfed or die out due to the pvm community (which is the greater population of the game) complaining. This is content that gives us a hot spot to pk or pvm in as a group.

After the first update the Rev caves were completely empty and another dead content update. You guys get it right where you provide both pvmers and pkers to have a way to make money. This update clearly thrived as you could barely find a rev in any world to kill. The GP rates were perfect and I don't understand how you guys acted on this so fast. You have to understand the pvp community feels powerless as we are far outnumbered by the pvmers and every update you offer to us fails polls by a hair. We need a new voting system or something to help show the true pvp community and what we want to see. If you pvm and don't pk in the wilderness, how does that effect them.
