We've apologised for not releasing when we first expected to, sadly we underestimated the amount of work involved in porting one of the largest, regularly updated MMORPGs in the world to mobile phone. It's unprecedented, but rest assured the team are making great progress.

This news re-sparked old feelings I had towards RuneScape and I would love to start playing again. I called to have internet set up just so I can begin where I left off. My combat level is 102 with many other skills. Not as intense and many other players but, I have certainly put in my time.
We'll be looking to re-open beta sign-ups ahead of the next round of testing.

I disagree completely re: it being unfair. We were assessing performance and usability on specific devices. Players were chosen without any bias whatsoever, aside from meeting certain device/gameplay criteria. Community Manager for Old School RuneScape
