The fact that bringing bonds into old school is even being discussed is disgusting. Do you people understand why 07 was even brought back in the first place? Not just because of the EOC, but also because of pathetic things like the Squeal of Fortune. You people at Jagex are hypocrites, you prohibit RWTing yet you do it in your own game. Are you getting that desperate for extra money? If this passes, which I can almost guarantee that it won't, I along with many others will cancel our memberships. 07 is a brand new start. Don't ruin it.

I've been playing RuneScape since 2005 (if I recall correctly) and I joined 3 days ago in Old School and I bought membership today.

I've read about the Bonds and I know they can be bought from the Grand Exchange for about 6m.

Since I'm not rich (even tho membership isn't that expensive), I think it's a good idea for those who spend hours playing and can get a good reward, even if it's only 14 days.

This being said, I don't know how Bonds would affect the RS07 community and the game itself.

After reading some posts here, I think that isn't the best idea to add such content to the game, and actually this changed my opinion, and I think Bonds should be only on RS3 and stay the same way.

And to be clear, my vote is a big no .

The whole point of adding bonds to the game is so you can have people come to Runefest? I don't even want people who play so much they could pay for Runefest in gold to represent this community or this game.

Your priorities, Jagex, are repulsive. I know you make money by riding the coat tails of some incredible people that created a wonderful game a long time ago, but really, promoting that people buy real world goods with pixel coins? Sounds like GP needs to be considered real world currency to me, and people should be paying taxes on the good received too.

You said this would never come to OSRS, and we paid for the past year and a half with that understanding. What kind of uproar would people have if at the end of spending 4 years at university, for example, the institution said sorry, I know you thought you were working toward a degree, but we decided we just want to be a hotel, thank you for staying with us the past 4 years, I know you enjoyed your stay, so we know it's not a big deal that we aren't giving degrees anymore.

I believed OSRS would be different, that it was just a small service that you would be content to gather some extra money, because that is what you said it would be. However, it appears Jagex can never be satisfied, and instead of thinking of ways to create great games that people would be willing to pay for, they continuously search for ways to exploit their existing players. Pretty pathetic, actually.

sidenote: i have not seen a single large update rejected after it has been proposed. the osrs community is too new and too naive. I wait for the day that bonds enter the game - AGAINST MY WILL, LIKE ALMOST ALL THE OTHER UPDATES - and I quit. *yah woot*

Honestly,

I am getting very frustrated with you Jagex team. You said that you brought back OSRS for the "nostalgia players". But here you are trying to infect the game with all your RS3 ideas.

LEAVE IT ALONE. STEP AWAY FROM OUR GAME. AND GO MAKE ANOTHER QUEST FOR RS3 OR SOMETHING!

I PERSONALLY WALKED AWAY FROM MY MAXED MELEE AND HERB AND PRAYER ACCOUNT TO PLAY OSRS!

It's actually sad to see people leaving, but I've read that with this "Free Trial" many players quit because of it.

I hope they don't add Bonds, but (unfortunately) isn't only my decision.

EXTREMELY PLEASED that they r considering this, osrs is heading the right direction, kudos for the hardwork mods! Takes a lot of brutal honesty to mention this, as u know old school is plagued by many casuals who could care less about contributing let alone care for old school.

Bonds will elevate the quality of old school, stop unlegit way to transfering money via scamming clans and definitely a MAJOR hit to rwt and botting.

Bonds will ensure the very survival of oldschool, with more funds flowing in, eastern border and future updates such as elven city etc, will be of higher quality as we have more resources to invest in

The very first question ppl ask when they wanted to return to the real runescape is how do i transfer wealth and with bonds viola, problem solved.

Bonds is so positive, cant wait for blog about this.

BETTER UPDATE THAN GE OR GODWARS! Love bonds!

I hope they dont poll mandatory updates like this. Ppl have beem transfering wealth via eoc unlegitly since day one. What bonds will do is to establish a bench mark for it and better control the flow of black money into old school.

Security update like bonds should be added WITHOUT polling
