I do not want to see bonds in oldschool runescape. I understand that you want another revenue stream, but I think this will loose you revenue. I have always been in favor if 07 scape being a near stand-alone game, very separate from eoc and I feel that bringing bonds into oldschool will obliterate that facade. This being said, what I am really against is rwt made legal. I am all for using in game gp to buy membership or runefest tickets, but we should not be able to buy bonds with real life currency. In my opinion (and maybe I'm being obsessive compulsive) the knowledge that jagex allows players to essentially buy items and skills would taint the entire game.

Jagex wouldn't consider this if it were to lose them money. Despite very negative public opinion they've put in SOF and treasure hunter and all that crap because there are people who buy it. I imagine it is fairly lucrative because I have a friend on RS3 who plays competitively and cannot afford to spend money on experience. While I find the concept repulsive, she cannot compete with other players because they do spend actual money on their experience.

We're well aware of the issues that this community will have with bonds, which is why we mention that if you want the good side, you need to be prepared to accept that at some point someone will have to buy the bond for real money and sell it for gold.

My advice: Let RS3 be the game where you can buy your way to success, keep OSRS a game with integrity and ban all gold transfering activities between the two games. After hearing that you guys allow this I am considering ending my subcription, I am sure others are too. I play OSRS because I believe(d) it was a game with integrity.

I would like to point out that gold selling has always been a part of this game. Pretty much every MMO there is has gold selling.
Jagex found a rather adequate solution for the botting/gold farming problem by introducing bonds. This is not the optimal solution, but it is a possible one.
This "integrity" you speak of does not exist, not that I know of, anywhere.
MMOs reflect real life in many ways, and as with real life, RuneScape can be unfair.
Some people can get RuneScape gold because they have cash to spend because they have a IRL job. Some people can get RuneScape gold because they have lots of time to play, because they have no IRL job.

There are lots of ways to look at unfairness, (not just from the perspective of a person not wanting to spend money) and there are also endless senses of "integrity".

Another solution is making an official money transfer between OSRS and RS3. This way you could transfer OSRS gp to RS3 and spend that gp on bonds and thus membership/RuneFest. The problem would be determining the exchange ratio.

The problem is the system as a whole. No thank you.

**;DR We should facilitate Jagex endorsed RWT to homogenize those who lack a moral compass along with everyone else.
