1. Remove bittercap/mort myre fungus it makes no sense to get those + will devalue them
Also as replacement for those mushrooms, perhaps you can add mushroom logs as 'normal' loot instead, which would be between yew/magic in Firemaking XP, possibly with other uses too.

2. Ditch pie idea and make it a secondary ingredient for prayer renewal potions (or do both)
Also add a new herb to the swamp that is used to make prayer renewal.
The herb should come from a new slayer monster in the swamp in the form of seeds, and also as a semi rare drop from plants that can be searched around the swamp, similar to the herbs in jungle potion quest.

I love people that go "Good idea BUT you should do this 180 degree difference instead."

I think this sounds great and I love introduction to skills that are filling in the middle grounds of lvling. 100% for it.

Can we have Mushroom Pizza instead? That way you could have a refresh on the boost by eating the other half - also it seems way more tastier than mushroom pie... -

Making bittercap the main drop is a terrible idea. I mean sure, i get that people probably don't spend time actually farming them as it is anyway, but it's still a terrible idea to make them drop at a rate like that when it takes 6 hours of real life time to grow 6 of them with the farming skill.

Not to mention their uses as an item is rather limited, so most people would drop them as they gather them, while the few that would sell them would make them completely worthless on the G.E.

Mort myre fungi also seem extremely out of place as a drop. They have even more limited use, and proposing to have them as a "semi-rare" drop when they're so much easier to obtain normally compared to bittercaps makes even less sense to me.

I do like the idea of the tree as such and the way you gather it though, but it needs to have unique drops.

I mean, you're designing an entirely new island with alot of potentially new and unique features, why can't you just make items with a use contained to the island itself?

Considering teaks are lvl 65, this isn't really middle ground. Middle would be closer to level 50 req with 70k-80k exp/hr at 99.

...why are we in support of tick-manipulation methods?

Tick manipulation is both bug abuse and incredibly unfriendly to players in terms of gameplay. Nobody enjoys tick manipulation, the community is simply glad to have some way to get increased exp rates.

As an example, If there was a method where the player had to press a key 5 times per second to get 25% more exp, people would do it. Engagement does equate to content that is good for the game. Blizzard recently had a huge issue with this in their last expansion with player-owned mission tables. Engagement rates were through the roof, but only because they were efficient for player progression. Players actually hated the mission tables, they just participated because they were heavily incentivized to do so.

These "methods," and I put them in quotes on purpose, should be slowly replaced with actual competitive content instead of being treated like something that they aren't.

"Tick manipulation of Teaks" should at NO POINT fall into an official table of exp rates across level bands, nor should 1-tick fishing, mining, or box trapping.

I expect to get some hate for this post but I want you guys to think about one thing:
Which is better for the game and how much we enjoy playing it?
-Tick manipulation for increased exp rates on outleveled content
-Increased exp rates on level appropriate content

some people do find tick manipulation engaging. I'm not one of them, but I don't think it should be removed (or made obsolete).

I agree with the things said about mort myre fungi/bittercap mushrooms.
That's like having sacred eels in the fishing guild.

I have a suggestion for a completely different reward:

mycelium armor-
a degradable defensive mage armor, a higher tier than splitbark.
or a degradable pray-mage armor.

You'd first craft(/fletch) an armor frame in a different way.
Perhaps with magic/redwood logs, maybe with certain fossils, or just another way.
if it's with fossils, it can be a good mage-pray hybrid.
Then, you'd charge the armor with mushroom parts, which are a processed version of the main drop of the mushroom trees.

The mushrooms can be processed with 1 or 2 items in your inventory (sickle, knife, chisel, ...).
Neither the raw mushroom logs nor the processed parts stack. This way, people'd have to bring the armor with them to charge it right away.

I personally found it more engaging when you actually do stuff with what you collect, rather than bank/drop it as quickly as possible, or just let it stack like minnows.

edit: also, mushroom pizza's are something normal irl, but all other cooking-boosts come from brews and pies. I'm fine with either pie or pizza.
This update does devalue poison chalice collections though :P

I have to agree with this though. Tick manipulation should not be considered ever by Jagex in terms of EXP gains. I 100% think that tick manipulation should be removed completely somehow.

But that is a whole different topic.
