Reminder: gargoyles are already great money, especially for the level.
It's funny how divided the community is regarding the cannonballs.
The accounts who use it most are not the ones who can collect it themselves.
However, I think the cannon is already a bit too strong. Forcing people to get their own cannonballs is definitely a plus, if it were to be made stronger.
Also, 'granite cannonball' doesn't sell it for me.
Why would granite dust stick to a cannonball, and if it does, why would it increase it's damage? Is the dust going to cut you?
How about changing it to magnetic dust, but also require you to have a higher tier of nails, probably adamant or rune. You'd make a spiky cannonball.
Since it's an additional requirement you could get away with the boss dropping more dust. Additionally, it allows for a new drop (on other monsters) that isn't interfering with most other drops while still being valuable.
The only problem is that now the cannon can magically shoot a bigger and spiked ball.
