''For the love of ...''

Note this is very much like one small favor in that you have to do a lot of walking, running, or teleing around.

Start by talking to Ned. You noticed that he is a bit down, but he just shrugs it off. He asks you to do him a favor :P , at which you say to your self, ''Oh, no, not another one of those''. He needs to have the yarn taking to the lady in the Viking island (you've already discovered his secret) and needs to get the rope back from her, but he doesn't feel up to going there.

When you do the trade with her, you find that she still has no clue why he is doing the trades. Its great for her, but he is losing money off it. You tell her that he is trading adventurers ropes for the yarn, so he is not losing any money. She is pleased.

As you leave, one of the townsmen stops you, perhaps the guard or the boatman, it doesn't matter so it can be who ever is easier. He asks if that was the rope for yarn trade, and you tell him it was. He (or she) tells you that Ned really has it hard. You ask him what he means and he tells you that ned is madly in love with her, but she has no clue. She is a traditional Viking woman and is expecting a suitor to approach her in the Viking manner.

When you get back to Ned, he admits that that is true. He then tells you a story of how he had attempted to approach her, but not knowing mainland ways she didn't even see him doing so. So he had researched the different manners of approaching a woman of that Viking standing. He had gotten her fathers approval and only need to get her attention. many of the ways involved combat with fierce monsters, and while Ned was brave and strong, he was a man of the sea, not land, thus his knowledge of combat involved chasing off pirates with cannons, not monsters with swords.

He had finally come up with a solution that involved sailing. He would gain things from all over the world, treasures that a Viking would appreciate.

He spent over a year gathering all of his treasure, only to lose it when his ship was damaged by a storm. He and his mates had manage to beach the ship on an island, but before they could repair it, a pirate gang had attacked. They took all of the treasure before he and his crew had manage to chase them off.

After they had gotten the ship finally repaired and made it back to mainland, he had retired from his adventuring. Many of the treasures were a one of a kind thing and he knew he would never get them again.

When he tells you the name of the crew, you realize you know where they are. You head over to the pirate island to have a chat with the pirates. When you corner one in the bar, you realize he is no longer the pirate of ages past, and no longer capable of fight. With a little bit of charm, and a couple ales, you manage to get the story out of him.

He and his gang had been on hard times when they saw the beached ship. Figuring it for easy pickings they attacked at night. In the darkness, they manage to get aboard the ship and steal the treasure, but only just as the crew found them and attack. The pirate complains how unfair the fight was, and they ran for their lives, taking the treasure with them. Most of it was not stuff they had any use for, but they kept it on principles. Unaware it was guarded by a monster, they decided to bury it in a dungeon they had found. One of the guys away in terrror, ran only to fall into a lava pit with the treasure. Since it was in a magically sealed treasure chest, the lava wouldn't harm it but the poor pirate was done for. None of the others could get close enough to help, let along retrieve it.

After a time, a couple of them manage to sneak into the dungeon and tried to fish it out but it had been swallowed by a lava shark and thus their fishing polls were useless.

Since he is convinced the treasure can never be recovered he is willing to give you the map (after he his sufficiently charmed).

When you attempt to get the shark using a normal harpoon, or fishing poll, it will break. you get a message saying that you barely let go of it before it was incinerated. If you use the fishing poll used to get lava eels, it breaks and you are told it was pulled in to the lava.

After consulting with fishermen, you either remember or are suggested about the poll used by the barbarian fishing spots. When you attempt to use it like it is, it too burns up, but if you treat it like you did the fishing poll you fish lava eels you finally manage to catch the shark. When you do, you get the treasure chest and can then take it to Ned who opens it and pulls for things that most people would not consider treasures, but a Viking would.

Next there is a cut scene (simple one) where ned approaches the lady, and gives her the chest. she blows him a kiss and he jumps for joy.

After the cut scene, Ned is back in his house and he tells you that she has accepted his offer and they will begin the courtship (this explains why they are both in their original locations after the quest).

The rewards for the quest include the ability to fish lava sharks which heals 2 more points than sharks, give 5% more exps per hour than sharks for fishing and cooking. I would think another good reward would be a new tele to the islands.

To make this, it would be necissary to change a few dialog trees: Ned, the Viking lady, a viking guard or townsman, the pirate and a fisherman. All of the npcs needed for this quest are already in place.

In addition, the only things needed would be a recolored barbarian fishing poll, and a recolored shark. It there was a new dungeon in it, it could include some higher level zombie for slayer. A new dungeon would require a recolored water spot. I believe the chaos shortcut tunnel has a water spot in the end, which would make it a perfect dungeon for this (just take out the tele spot).

Depending on the needs of the graphics there are two ways this dungeon can be done. One of them is to use a normal dungeon that has water in it, and simply recolor the water. The other would be to use a one time used entrance to the taverly dungeon going to the lava pit. If the last is the case, the baby dragon can be the monster that had them spooked. If the former, a restated zombie would work great.

One of the biggest reasons for doing this is to bring quest into this game. I believe that its is necessary to keep the game balanced, and thus we need all the parts of the game, pking, pvming, skilling, miningames and quests. We have seen pking and pvming and minigames, but so far, neither skilling or quest have been updated. I believe that without a proper balance, the game will become too much of one thing. While the fishing spot and the higher level slayer will not be that much of a change for skilling, it will be a new addition, that will allow replayability to this. Most quest do add new items, skilling area, or pvp/pvm areas. Without the ability to add new models, the amount of change will not be that great, but it can happen.

If a new dungeon is added, other skilling areas, such as a new mine, or other resource, could be added as well.

Roof-leaping: Agility reborn!

Take for example: Meiyerditch.

you could potential make a agility course just like it, and or use the existing content (is does involve roof jumping if my memory does serve me right!)

but, the general idea is: to little by little make houses climbable in major cities, then using the agility jump animation to jump from rooftop to rooftop!

here is some place you could potentially start remodeling building:

the varrock slumbs: details with pictures in the email i have sent you! -email called: "Agility reborn: Rooftop-leap"

other possible places:
brimhaven houses
varrock castle
rimmington
etc/...there is alot more!!

*players should have the ablility to make their own roof-jumping hotspot's in their POH!*

by making a climbable wall and or grapple hotspot!

-level 10 construction required, by request of myself!

-i am still brainstorming ways to make agility ALOT more enjoy in RS!

willing to share all my ideas with you jagex!

anytime,
Bigredjapan.

this idea was proposed by Bigredjapan to Jagex Games Studio on 10/18/2013!

Bigredjapan would like alittle credit :)

thanks.

Ok, here is the most original thing I can think of:

Revamping the kingdom on Kandarian, but I will only talk about the areas going from camelot to Ardougne.

My idea is simple, I want to make the world map bigger while not really making the world bigger itself. I want to make the game a bit more future-proof by giving us a bunch of new forest space which could be used later on in the future. This will be achieved by remapping/recreating the areas that pass from camelot to seers vilage, pass through McGrubor's woods, the coual trucks, the fishing guild and then camelot. This also include the rangers guild.

I will write this in steps to make it look simple:
1. Remove the coal trucks (We will replace the later, don't worry)
2. Replace the lake in which the fishing guild is with land.
3. Make McGrubor's woods half the size.
4. Move the fishing guild up to where the coal trucks were.
5. Move Hemenster next to the fishing guild, both will be connected to the sea instead of a lake, making it look like a small town.
6. Change the road that goes from seers village to the ardougne, so instead it goes to the new fishing guild area and then goes to Ardougne.
7. Move the Ranging guild to this new town, so it will be like a town of guilds with both the fishing and ranging one.
8. Move the coal trucks so they will be near the legends guild. This includes the mines are also included.

This is a rough process, but that about all I have to say. Here are the advantages of doing this:
1. We get HUGE spaces and a whole new giant forest in which we can pretty much do anything that we want.
2. The map become much larger and future-proof.
3. It is not a hard update, it is just some moving of objects and maybe readjusting a few quests.

I could draw a map in photoshop and sent it to you guys if you like it.

Fantastic Idea Exot! A new area would be perfect! Does not favour any type of player and would look great! Support! ;)
