this whose a better option:

1. serp helm - change nothing also if you want bring the bandos helm to the game.
2. void 10% elite void 20%
3. zulrah. 2 year to late... change nothing or less then this.

the 1 and 2 can be changed agane, the 3 is now to late... change and change is agane more a shit.

Great update.

I noticed how easy it is for ironman with zulrah.Glad its been nerfed felt like I was cheating on my ironman to be honset with all the OP high lvl drops.

Serp helm also needed to be nerfed so in the future we could have other and maybe better helms in game.

Void ranger set and all others should crumble to a "fixable" state after getting killed in pvp.Instead of ppl just ragging in it and coming back and collecting it without any cost.

All in all Im happy with this update and it should of happened long time ago.

Thanks Jagex,and I do have to say making these changes without polling it was a real good call.

First and foremost, I don't recall a single, solitary poll for any of the nerfs to Zulrah, Serp Helm, and Void Range, but I do recall vividly a poll that didn't pass regarding dropping items in Wild. If I'm correct, which I know I am, said poll asked, "Should items dropped inside the Wilderness and PvP worlds appear instantly? This would prevent players griefing PKers by dropping items" ( Old School Content Poll #30 , sec. 8). That poll question was nowhere near the 75% threshold required to pass, and yet you've implemented it into the game anyways. Now, PVMers really have to welfare against so-called PKers who do nothing more than rag when they attack PVMers anyways.

Also, of note, you guys polled and changed the male Armadyl set, which was an iconic and original look to Old School, a few months ago. It ruined that part of nostalgia and armor for myself and those who liked it better especially with this Void Range nerf that wasn't polled at all. Old-school armor is part of the "‘old school’ vibe and rules...[and] old graphics, hiscores, log-in, are all part of the same archived build and would be retained" ( 2007 - Old School RuneScape , par. 14). That also means we should still be able to use the original 2007 design and not have it salvaged in a graphics poll or any other poll for that matter. At the very least, we could've been given a toggle option so that those who liked the old, retro look can still have it.

If anything, changing the male Armadyl set should've never been polled, and these nerfs should've been polled aside from the already-polled Wilderness item dropping. Instead, they were just implemented into the game without any player say-so.

Here we go again! If this is the direction RS is going yet again, then GF!

The map update is fantastic, I am really happy with this addition to the Oldschool Runescape game since it was there years ago and became indispensable, so many kudos to you who got it back.

As for the update to the combat items and the Zulrah drop table, I am very dissatisfied and feel like a big part of what I have been building up for the last 4-5 months has been ruined.

I started with battling Zulrah for a few weeks ago when I felt I had the stats for it, and I felt the rewards are decent for the effort put into the battle and getting the stats for it. It is still hard and I die a lot, even though I have learned how the colors of Zulrah attack and which sides it appears on.

This said the reward changes are completely unfair, a lot of items have been removed which Zulrah was a good source for, and also the amount of these rewards has been decreased too much that it now is not as motivating to battle this monster. For example how can it be fair to change the planks to logs? The cool thing was that you would get the planks to you would not have to run to the sawmill to make them till planks, when you could just battle Zulrah once in a while to get the planks. and also how can 100 magic logs changed to 35 yew logs in any way represent 30% reduction?

Furthermore the item stat reductions (Ranged void, Serpentine helmet) are not fair at all, when these items were introduced to the game their stats and functions should have been considered. Now that they are in the game, people have made extra accounts with specific skill builds only to be able to use these items to have an advantage. Removing them, or reducing the features these items results in a lot of wasted time for the ones who build Void accounts, defence pures ets. Also the void set is strong but it also takes a really long time with 15-30 hours of succesfull Pest Control games, for which the void set is worth the effort.

The serpentine helmet is the only piece of defensive that can inflict venom on
