literally killing the game like last time

How is it ANYTHING like last time?

They are trying to balance the game. LAST time, in 2008-2013, we got so many updates that were either dead content or were broken beyond belief.

Hey guys, remember when you made fun of us in 2008 to 2012, because we didn't like the updates destroying the integrity of our game?

Now we have updates promoting the integrity of our game, and the tables have turned 180 style.

Know what I have to say to you?

"Adapt or gtfo."

Nah.. it was always "ignore it or quit" wasn't it? =P

It was "adapt or quit" or "adapt or gtfo."

They liked to use the word adapt a lot, towards the declining pre eoc era. The historical context was in 2011-2013, with the 2006ers coming onto forums to complain that the game's integrity had been destroyed.

They can quit all they like, doesn't matter if we lose 5k. We'll keep growing and the game itself will be stronger for it. The administrators have chosen the path of truth and justice. For as long as this path is followed, we do not need to worry about what lies ahead because we have already won.

Democracy is NOT a perfect system, far from it. The "tyranny of the majority" or even "the tyranny of the laymen" is a very real threat and some authoritarian action is necessary to curb this pervasive burden of democracy.

no fucking way!! 10% dammage for void range WHY ??!! the problem is not the armour being OP, its the WEAPONS THAT CAN 1TICK LIKE USING VOID WITH GMAUL OR DRAGON THROWNAXE!!!

WE PAY WE SAY
WE PAY WE SAY
WE PAY WE SAY !

As for the serp helm, thats great thanks god that you removed the use of venom because lets be serious.. VENOM IS ONE OF THE DUMBEST UPDATE THAT OLDSCHOOL HAS. A form of poison that can hit you 20 if you dont have anti-venom in your inventory, thats dumb especially in PvP...
so in my opinion, this update is great but you should have kept the SAME AMOUNT OF STRENGTH BONUS because SERP HELM WILL BE CHEAPER THAN NEIT HELM NOW.

I left in late 2010 because there was no integrity remaining.. what I remember hearing most often was "ignore it or quit". Didn't return (even to forums) until early 2013 when the chatter about OSRS was about to start.

I agree.. the game can withstand the loss of 5K or even more (I don't see that many actually quitting for more than a week over this though) and fully agree that the game will be stronger for it.. this old game NEEDED this update day.. it actually offers the possibility of 'moving forward' (and until today, I didn't see that as possible).

Jagex has a history though.. and if they buckle under the cries of these EZscapers.. there'll be no integrity left and the good of the game will be out the window.. they've taken a stand on this.. now they just need to stand tall and ride it out.

"Longevity of the game" is code for "we want you wasting more hours of your life so we can have higher profit''. You make so much money from runescape already, is it really necessary to make people who have spent the time to get a really strong account to kill zulrah no-life even further? No, it isn't. And you have an obligation to poll these things with the OSRS community, these are huge changes. LEARN FROM YOUR MISTAKES - Do you see how many people play osrs? Many of them quit with RS3 years ago, myself included! Don't make another RS3, don't repeat your mistakes, and always consult with the community. I am very disappointed. Jagex sucks, simply put.

So I spent the past three months grinding my voider and you just make it obsolete in one swoop? We are paying customers you know that right? Some of these nerfs should have been polled. The zulrah drop nerf was not just 30% more like 60%.

What am I missing about Iron Man? I thought the whole attraction of the mode was to earn resources and churn skills without gimmicks, but from what I'm hearing Zulrah, which I've never done, was the ultimate gimmick, providing massive amounts of resources without doing anything actually connected to the skills the resource trains. Unless I'm missing something, this was a brilliant, much needed update for the integrity of Iron Man.
