Yeah, listen to everybody on Reddit and add some awkward ugly looking bottom trim piece. Nobody wanted that, we were all complaining about the colors and the shoulder pad idea. It looked like a GIRAFFE cape when ya'll first released it. Stop trying to rush all this stuff out. You guys updated the fossil island blog like 6 times already and this is the what, second revision to the new cape now? Make it clean and simple, just make it a darker fire cape. It's practically what it's meant to be.

I don't think they will add another task to do within the diary, seeing as so many people will have already completed the elite. Seems kind of effort to remove everybody's achievement diary capes and karamja gloves 4 from them just because of a new cape being added.

Yeah, I'm gonna guess they already used up xp lamps too (and guessing it'd be kinda tough for jagex to remove that xp from those who already claimed it) and I don't think jagex is that stupid, honestly.

Like a lot of people in this thread, I agree the obsidian trim at the bottom should be removed. Idk who all was complaining that it was a necessary aethestic that needed to be added, but please don't listen to them Jagex.

I really like the updated cape, just please remove the trim.

I really like this design, and strongly feel that the obsidian trim at the bottom is great. It makes the cape look more distinguished and fit to be best-in-slot. Sucks the lava can't be any shinier, but looks good nonetheless.

Keep it this way. It's awesome.

EDIT: After reading through the rest of these comments, it sucks how many others are complaining about this still. Not sure what the problem with the design or trim at the bottom is.

I really dislike the metal part on the bottom. Improved bottom would be no bottom. Capes don't have heavy metal things at the bottom. Would bang into your calves every time you take a step.


Could you guys improve the lava texture instead of adding unneccessary zenyte jewellery details to the bottom?

Its a retro game afterall, just having decently flowing lava animation with nice color scheme (that isn't large brown diamonds flowing down mid-section) would satisfy the community

Im happy with either design personally, not 100% sold on the bottom part of the new design but I like the direction.

Don't listen to the negativity, you wont make everyone happy when you pre release design content. Also just remember most of the haters wont be able to get the cape ;)
