OSRS was literally made because people specifically wanted pre-EoC.
Only reason why it's based on the 2007 version of the game is because that was the most recent full backup they had, otherwise if they had a full 2012 pre-EoC backup that's what they would have used. I get moody during that time of the month. You know, with the full moon and all.

Jagex can you please redesign the cape... I don't think a super cool cape should be brought out quickly... I think you should rework the current design to make it better. To be honest, adding that trim just makes the cape look like a big penis drooping down... seriously...

I already posted this comment but I didn't send it specifically towards a Jagex staff. So, my reply to your post was this....

Jagex can you please redesign the cape... I don't think a super cool cape should be brought out quickly... I think you should rework the current design to make it better. To be honest, adding that trim just makes the cape look like a big penis drooping down... seriously...

Nope.

There were loads of posts, many more asked for a 2006 version than a 2012 version. I remember reading these forum posts. Jagex also created a thread acknowledging that players wanted an older version of the game, and SPECIFICALLY cited the demand for a 2006 server, and then 2 weeks later the referendum went up. 2007 was simply the oldest one they could get their hands on. If they did have 2006, they probably would have rolled with 2006. I don't care what you think now, because back then the motive for OSRS was to bring back the 04-07 era. The game should at least LOOK that way.

Pre Eocers think the only reason OSRS came out was EOC. No, EOC was just a final straw that made it difficult for Jagex to avoid losing so many players. Prior to EOC they were still losing players, and people were still asking for a 2006 server regularly since at least 2011.

Have you watched the streams? Mod Ghost was saying how he wanted to preserve the "Old School" feel when designing the cape. And what did the cape look like? Something straight out of 04-07. The Inferno? Maybe slightly updated, but the monster models are based on the original Fight Caves. You need to wake up to reality, even some of the OSRS mods are more sympathetic to 04-07 than you are.

Just face it. If they had started with 2012, so many people wouldn't have come back. Mark my words, we old schoolers will fight you pre eocers every step of the way to save this game from annihilation. You lack the passion of an old schooler. Long live the Wilderness. Long live risk vs reward in PVM. Long live 2006.

I feel like the obsidian trim at the bottom needs to be fixed; it looks kinda bad. The bottom looks transparent, I feel like you guys should try to redesign it a little. Also, the Zenyte is a cool addition, but it doesn't really look symmetrical. Just fix the bottom and it'd be perfect. I love the improvement at the collar, the earlier version's collar bothered me.

This new design with the bottom piece is absolutely horrendous. Not something I am interested in from a fashionscape perspective. Might wear it on task to get good dps but will invest in some blacked out glasses or drunk goggles to hide my eyes from the atrocity.

I'm serious, that is a bad looking cape. It needs to be thinner, without the ornamentation.
