Do you not read any of the forum/mod posts?!?! There is a whole separate team dedicated to protecting the servers...the OSRS team is not that team. The system admin team is...they are working day and night to fix the problem. Jagex understands that having the game down is a huge problem and is top priority. Stop whining like an entitled 13yr old and grow up. Cyber attacks happen and system teams respond by adding new security measures. It's not an easy fix but they are working their butts off to get the game running smoothly.

Yo, they have said multiple times across multiple platforms that they are doing everything in their power to fix the DDOS attacks. You are playing an online game, these issues arise.

Go ask mommy for another $10 dollars. Go work a part-time job for literally one hour out of the month.

Jagex has repeatedly reached out to the player base to inform them that they are aware of the problem and working to resolve it. Clearly you don't know how to read (or spell) and should calm the fuck down.

ok dude look it really is this simple. i pay dollars i already worked for i expect to get what i payed for. now after 1week of borderline unplayability and past 4 days of unplayability i fully believe they are not doing everything in there power to resolve this issue they need to be pooling there resources and put all other osrs developments on hold untill we can play again basically. gotta have your priority's and when half the community cant PLAY a QoL update is not what we want/need cant play so troll

Clever way to positively identify the idiots ddosing your servers... or the dumbest thing you've EVER offered given that half or more of the player base can't log in, and much of the remainder can't stay logged in..

Now to top off he server issues, i cant even load the clients. (OSBuddy and OSRS)

Any idea when this will be fixed? i understand the rules and know that DDoS is a problem said to be in a gray are and no membership will be refunded or items given back etc...

I can see other people playing and i see Youtubers making videos and i still have no idea why they're able to play and i cant so much as load a client to check to see if playing is even possible at this point.

I'm not really asking for anything as much as i am an answer to what the actual problem is. Been playing this game since probably 05 and I've never seen anything like this before, and it Doesn't seem to be getting any better but worse.

When will i be able to play again? )':

"The sysadmins are doing what they can to block the cause of the network disruption. While players occasionally wonder why we're doing game updates when all that's going on, frankly it's not something the OSRS team can help the sysadmins do better, so cancelling game updates wouldn't help."

"OSRS was never completely unprotected, of course. In the earlier days, we'd got DDOS mitigation that could handle a fair bit, but the attacks were simply orders of magnitude larger. In 2015, the entire game could be basically offline for ages. You'll notice there's been less of that lately. That's because the sysadmins spent the time required to rejig the entire network to mitigate that sort of thing more effectively; it wasn't just a matter of telling the hosting company to plug in a DDOS protection box. Without going into details about what's under the hood (since we prefer not to share that info) 2016 became a lot smoother as the year went on, and we're likely to stick with this approach because it's a lot better than what we had before."

I don't know if i'm allowed to say this, but for my fellow runescapers I shall. Just yesterday someone told me of a fix for the dcs and it has actually worked. You have ( I won't link one I'll leave it up to you to find one ), download a vpn and run that vpn on either canada or the UK. Hope that helps and pls no ban if I did something wrong, just delete my comment. Ty.
