Its not narrow minded. what is narrow minded though is ignoring the largest of your player base and serving them up to a minority of your player base for their amusement. To me that is narrow minded by definition. And it is sick and twisted. And its sad to see Jagex has not learned from the sins and mistakes they had made in the past by listening to this minority of players.

You see this update is as a update solely for pkers. In my eyes this update will benefit everybody.


No it is a lure to try to lure nonpking players into the wilderness explicitly to be pked in hopes that more pkers will try to hunt those pkers down. And it even says so if you would even bother to even read the first page. There is no misunderstanding here of its purpose.

This sounds like a great update for RS3 but I'm unsure for RS2/07scape. I mean I'm no PKer but when you add this much content in such a sensitive area of the game I feel like you're bound to upset more than just a few players. Please remember that the people playing Old School are doing so for nostalgia reasons and overall feeling alienated and aggravated with the direction of RS3 and the BAD updates. I would hope that if these updates are being considered that they come out in pieces, slowly, and in moderation over a year (or two) so as to measure the level of content/discontent amongst the Old School community.

I should say that I'm torn between wanting to preserve 07scape with the least amount of changes or letting it become the game RS2 should have been (you know a RS2 with no climbing boots updates or removal of free trade/wildy, no EoC, no updated graphics)

Here's one super important suggestions to help rejuvenate the wilderness.

Starting off, I'd like to say you guys have a lot of fantastic ideas that are original and I feel non-threatening in terms of recreating the mistakes of the past.

I think the biggest suggestion I can make is that; You don't implement these bosses/resources/shops and monsters into EVERY world. Pick a few worlds, heck even make it random for a certain amount of time but I highly suggest concentrating these things into 2-8 worlds. Here's why.

1. It will force players and bots to interact with each other instead of just world hopping until an empty world is found.

2. It will encourage clan/team work because with so few worlds it will be beneficial to players to group up with others.

3. Pker's will be forced to fight against other Pker's who are going after the same loot or team up. Which encourages everything you want*

**** seriously cuts back on bots abilities to flood the game with new items, instantly decreasing the prices and flooding the markets. Plus it makes it so much easier to hunt them, putting money back in the real players pockets.

5. I know some people will oppose this, but I really think with a smaller population (most worlds 100-250ish people) it will really force people to interact with each other.

6. Also with such competition of resources it will increase the price of things only obtainable in the wilderness which will in turn increase the drive to make a Pking account to get all that money! Everybody wins!!

7. If skillers really don't want to go into the wilderness then there will still be all the old options. No one is making you enter the wilderness. I completely agree with the idea of more risk more reward. Let's not be like current society where everyone gets a ribbon for just participating.

Some ways to make the new food valuable but not make tuna potatoes pointless is to give the new food passive abilities. Some ideas for the new food:
1) Heal 20LP + heal 5LP over the next 10 seconds
Note: a second new fish passive will not stack
2) Heal 16LP + reduce any damage taken by 10% for the next 10 seconds
Note: a second new fish passive will not stack

Make the new fish slow to catch but give decent exp.
