You really think the immature PvPers (and even more pures) community will accept to be surpassed by someone ? I don't think so


Jagex wants the wild more full of players, and PKers want the wild more full of players to PK, however their idea is make skillers targets and easy to kill and victims with little to nothing to gain, which results in an empty wilderness.

I'm trying to give Jagex the perspective of a player who is a non combat skiller, who never PKers, who hates PKing, but who likes non combat skilling and earning items and GP through skilling.

It doesn't matter how greatt the rewards are if I don't feel like I have a chance of keeping them and if I am just going to make PKers rich through my work, which is not something I want to do.

So, if I am going to go in the wild, I want as little risk as possible. If a PKer is going to take my items, they should have to work for it, just as I had to work to gather the resources, they should have to work to take those resources from me and it should be hard for them to do.


Bro I completely agree and love your ideas, but for me the PvP community will never accept to be surpassed by any by any other player. And PvP community is a mass, and has an influence, so devs will never do that imo :(


No...the whole point of the extra good resources is to provide high risk versus high reward.

Why are all the skillers freaking whining. Dont want to have a little combat with your skilling? Too bad. Thats the point. Dont like it? Dont go. Its the WILDERNESS.

As for me ill be skilling in the wilderness. Im not stupid so i can actually defend myself.

It would be nice to have a temporary world where players cannot access any place other than wildy and wildy related areas and the pvp part of the wild should be removed, so players can gather information about the new parts, and familiarize themselves with new paths. Looting should be disabled. I would like to explore the new places and see how they work.


So in other words basically how bounty hunter was like but without the bounty volcanoe craters like they one time actually had.. That would actually be nice to have as a world probably.

Give the thieving chest a rare chance to give Dragon knives, recolored from rune knives or as drops from new bosses.
Dragon Knives: +50 ranged attack +60 ranged str
Special that doubles it's ranged strength for 12 seconds that takes 100% special drain.

This of course would mean that Dragon darts would need to be buffed also since they too are extremely devalued. They lack a special attack and have lower stats than obsidian rings.

Dragon darts stats should be be buffed to +60 ranged attack and +50 ranged strength.
Dragon darts will be given a new special attack that changes its attack speed to 1 tick(.6 sec) for 12 seconds that takes 100% special drain.

If changing core mechanics of existing dragon items like dragon darts is too much for the community to support then new dragon items can be brought through the wilderness.

Such as:
Dragon Hasta: 75+ stab +60 slash +60 crush +70 str (spear tick speed not normal "whip" speed like the recently introduced Zamorakian Hasta)
Special Attack: Spear wall 50% drain. Damages everyone adjacent and prevents melee attacks from striking you for 5 seconds with a 10% damage boost. Vesta's Spear special attack.

Or:

Dragon Warhammer: +75 crush +80 strength
Special Attack: Smash 35% drain. Dealt up to 30% more damage and decreased opponent's Defence by 30%. Statius's Warhammer special attack.

Both would be easily recolorable into the Dragon scheme of red and grey from rune equipment unlike PVP equipment which we don't have models for.
Reduced PVP equipment stats will give people more incentive to support and will also complete the Dragon weapon tier.

I think it would be nice to have the Bone Yard give the same prayer xp as altars when burying bones (any kind).

And instead of adding the dragon pickaxe to every boss in the wilderness... I think new dragon items like the dragon warhammer (skeletal champion) with a jumping smash special attack would be neat!

EDIT: some more ideas (all of these ideas are not mine).

- Wilderness achievement diaries
- Improve drop tables for the red dragons and greater demons
- The Muddy Chest in the Lava Maze should give a bigger reward
- Increased amount of rune respawns in the dark warriors fortress

Definitely need to be able to attack a player if they're in combat with a monster. This is used commonly to avoid being attacked...You can stand there and punch a dragon and taunt the pkers that are around.

I haven't really thought of the flip-side to this, so feel free to point out any flaws lol.

Omg yes! I want all untradeable items converting to coins even in lvl 1 wilderness.

I would like to see the dragon set be completed in old school. That means d claws (yes d claws, but spec doesn't have to be the same as the original d claws from pre eoc, but I would totally love to see the old spec as well) , d warhammer, d knives, d sword, d gauntlets (actual d gauntlets similar to the ones from fist of guthix from the main game), d kite (split it into 2 like the sq shield), d pick, d hasta, and d plate. These could be scattered about a revamped wilderness drop table, and included in the new bosses/demi-boss drop tables.

Also, I think the KBD should not drop black d hides, but drop a royal d hide which could be used to make royal d hide armour similar to rs3's royal set. KBD should also have a chance of dropping d pick head, but less of a chance than that of the chaos ele.

Drops to be added to red drags: onyx bolt tips (loved that suggestion), same chance of getting visage as with bronze dragons, common d items such as d med, d scimmy, ddp+, ddp++, ddp, dd. As well as rune items. Also, to add infinity set pieces as very rare drops from red drags would be awesome.

For chaos ele: same thing about infinity robes, increase d2h drop chance, has very rare chance to drop d pick HEAD. Yes head, not the whole thing. This means that the only way to get a d pick is to attach the head to a handle which can only be obtained by another player or by the random event of the head falling off the pick mid-swing.

For demis: drop 1k noted bow strings, clue scrolls, bunches of runes, noted manta rays/ sea turtles, noted sanctified oil in clusters of more than 3+ at a time (4/4)), and a bunch of oddities.

Red, realise you are commenting on Oldschool Runescape. The suggestions you put in are from Rs3, I don't think they want to follow what they did before and split the community once again. Real OSRS players do not want the game to evolve into another EOC-type deal which was detrimental to the community. All these new updates will end in a spiral of more updates. Fix the Wildy, put some better ratio drops, and make it risky. Get more real people in the Wildy and less bots. FIGURE IT OUT PLEASE lol. P.S. Dragon Claws will ruin the Wildy, people already abuse the Gmaul. We do not need 90% d-claw rushers.

It's nice to see JaGeX taking the initiative but...

I predict this'll turn out the same way pvp worlds did; stretching out all the players across the map, thus thinning the amount of potential fights in a given area. Add this on as well and it'll be nearly impossible to find fights after a while the update has been released. Honestly the best way to revive the wilderness would be to remove the pvp worlds first.
